He sounds like quite a good man and good sherriff. Thank you for your local viewpoint!

I agree with Boyz_Mum, Topsail Girl, your local view and opinion is sincerely appreciated.

I believe this crime will be solved.

Because of the location of the trailers, I assumed that the Young's home was the one with the looping driveway and the garage as a separate building. Okay, I'm going from memory so I'll go back and check, but that's what I thought.

Wait a minute, looking at the profile of the house, isn't it the one on the east side of the road with the car in the driveway? When I zoom in, I go a little north and then the red dot shows up again. Aren't the trailers on the west side of the road?

yeah, i was going by the red dot also.....hmmmmm

Liana's Pregnancy: "Police say the fact they don't know exactly how a four-months pregnant Edmonton woman died doesn't weaken their homicide investigation."

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26672&page=1&pp=25&highlight=liana

Websleuther Jess is just fantastic at updating the trial notes. It's much appreciated because the news links disappear after a short time. Looks like Liana was about the same as Michelle, who I think was 16 - 18 weeks pregnant. I double checked and Liana's daugher Ashley was 3.

Thank you so much otto.

Me too, now, based on the top view and how the house looks from the front, isn't it this one:

http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?T=4&S=8&Z=17&X=14162&Y=79073&W=1&qs=5108+Birchleaf+Drive%7cRaleigh%7cNC%7c&Addr=5108+Birchleaf+Dr%2c+Raleigh%2c+NC+27606-9360&ALon=-78.6999990&ALat=35.7051710
This is where I was looking at first and why I didn't see the trailer park ... just the forest.

Hold on - I'll go back to TopSail's link with the photos of the house and get the photos for you - you were definitely looking at the wrong house

Do you know if this is the same person who also posted on that forum that it wasn't a fax but instead a computer print out? That part seemed stranger yet to me but I had envisioned a printout with selections of more than one purse because that person said he was getting help deciding which one to buy her from her sister and mother I think.

I can't say for sure. It was here: http://www.topix.net/forum/city/raleigh-nc/TPARI863OPL3J66GN/p3 but I wasn't paying too much attention to the names of the posters ... somewhere around 42 (I think).

I still don't buy the idea that someone could remotely cause the computer printer to turn on, but maybe I'm oblivious to new technological advances. I believe that a fax could come through if the lines are set right, but not a computer printout. However, I could be in the dinosaur ages regarding remote computer printouts.

ok, this is what i'm thinking....i'm trying to get the house i'm talking about, along with the area of the "trailer park".....

if it's the house with the driveway that has two entrances....(a circle-around & out the other side driveway) then the "trailer park" is at the bottom, left hand side of this picture....looks like trailer type homes there on that road...see what i'm saying???

I zoomed it in for you. I did check against the link TopSail posted and checked the pictures versus the roof line and the deck description versus the photo so I am pretty sure this is it. I don't think it will get any closer. If you have google earth (which I don't) you can bring it in further.

You can see the fence line but I don't know what kind of fence that is - privacy or chain link.

Thank you ... I was wrong again!

Here is a link to the assessor information - note the tree in front and compare - also note the garage on the right end and that the house is square on the lot. At the top you will see a series of blcak tabs - you can pull the floor sketch of the house up for comparison as well. This gives you all the dimensions as well. note also the roof color for reference.

I think you've got the right place and CE is right about the little boxes about an acre or two back as probably being the trailers.

if you follow the red dot & go west....do you see the little brown area..it's like a turn in the road...over to the left about midway & down??????
I see what you are speaking of.

Yup, that looks like the area where there are smaller buildings and it could be a few trailers.

There is no circle drive to the young house. In the photos Greta showed and in her conversation with J. Hammer - the drive comes up to the garage from the road - no circle drive - the house is two houses below the house with the circle drive.

yikes...i can't make any sense out of that :o

but ok...you see the brown area:)....zoom in on it....IMO now...IMO, that would be a, what i would call, an out-of-the-way spot to pull a car into, then walk through the woods & come right out at the home.....would be dark, most likely AND if you notice, the "trailer park area" hooks up with that, on down the road, going south...you can even see the trailer homes at the bottom of the screen.......

LOL...ok so this will sound strange, but i wonder if any of the 'locals' here, are close enough to drive that road where the dirt 'pull off' is around that corner...

ok....ok......THANK YOU....i needed to know where this house is, & you're right...i don't remember it looking like a 'circle driveway' last night on Greta.....

soooooo i have the house in my head now......ok, it's the one that has the trailer homes DIRECTLY behind it .....

thanks raisin & otto!!!

Okay - I've moved the map a bit - the red dot in upper right corner, brown turn around in upper left corner. Now if you go southeast from the brown spot you will see the Young house - it is the second house in the picture

http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?T=4&S=9&Z=17&X=7079&Y=39535&W=1&qs=5108+Birchleaf+Drive%7cRaleigh%7cNC%7c&Addr=5108+Birchleaf+Dr%2c+Raleigh%2c+NC+27606-9360&ALon=-78.6999990&ALat=35.7051710

And yes that looks like a good spot to stop, park a car, and go for a walk from - bet it is also very dark at night.

None of the above - just curious ! You are right - that turn around spot would be a very good place to take a walk from - no way some one is going to see you and how much traffic could there be there between midnight and 6 am ?
