I keep going back to the LE timeline between 12:00am and 6:00 am. This was put out right after the murder and I think it's important. LE must have known from the get go what time Jason called Michelle and from where, and then figure how long it would take Jason to drive back to the house. If they are uncertain who killed her then why would they put out this timeline?
I'm thinking you may be a genious packerdog ! What if something such as the phone told LE immediately that JY spoke to Michelle at 11 and in the process of working the phone backwards they located the hotel - if it were 1,2 or even 3 hours away someone is going to wonder why so close yet so far... after Meredith telling them JY was out of town on a business trip. hmmm. Really excellent thought packerdog !

I agree with you packerdog. This timeline is important. I do feel it has something to do with J's phone call etc..........

oh,...........WHY NO REWARD OFFERED? even by the family????????There's almost ALWAYS a reward by someone. What's with that? Quite often here, even LE offers a $10K or $25K reward.

Indeed, Ocean ... and that's the flip-side... And that's perhaps the single most things that has thwarted me. The media investigators. Even if the regular press hasn't snooped around, then what has happened to the National Enquirer reporters? The media aren't polite - they'll print anything.

Ther is only ONE paper I believe may be holding 'mum' under agreement and that's the News & Observer: I think they may be working with LE on this - no matter who the perp is.

The info-release has been a miniscule drip-feed - NO details other than what the Sheriff wants us to know (IMO)

Believe it or not I have never seen a 'real life' NE. I've seen 'Net-scanned images; copied articles - but never ever seen the most embarrassingly famous rag-mag that folk hid between that pages of The Wall Street Journal to read at check-out tills.

LOL, i get the NE weekly....i even scrambled to the mail box this week, JUST to see if there was ANYTHING about this case in it.... :blushing: ...course there wasn't....will get the next one Tuesday.....i don't look for this to be in the NE though.....seems there's just not enough to 'chew on', but you never know!!!!....

yep, i think we'll hear that wherever JY stayed that Thursday night, it wasn't REAL far away.....

i don't know about others' message machines, but ours give the time the message/call was received

Close, you know I am thinking there *has* to be *something* else that gave LE the early understanding this was not a random crime...

Call me mad, but don't start a rumour: this is lateral thinking:

... IF .... it was Jason: do you think he may have (example) done something else that alerted LE? Something really small - out of normal suspicion ... ? Like ... say he left food out for the dog, wondering how long it would be before someone came - or to quieten the dog? But ... the food wasn't touched?

Something silly, like THAT ...

I'm trying to do these 'walk throughs' ... WHAT else could it be?

Heh heh. Well I can tell you something right here and now: I can't wait to see what the real hype is all about - but keep buyin, close - KEEP buyin! For as much as I read and heard the most deplorable comments about that rag-mag - I have to say, lots of their 'leaks' were not off the mark at the end of the day. (Sorry - the above pertains to SP's case - can't comment in general)...

there's no telling Polk...if JY did this, & if he planned it (which i think he did) then there may have been lots of 'silly little things' that LE picked up on......the Sheriff said on Greta's show that "we've gathered lots of evidence".....

That sure beats Nancy Grace's well-plugged feature on Michelle Young! Don't think I'll stay up all night for M Peterson's one although I followed it, too - enjoy, taximom - and cya later! :blowkiss:

Right Fran, this is also one that the Carole Sund foundation would put up a reward for.

IMO, I think that one thing that may have been disturbing to LE was that the child and dog were ok along with the 'no forced' entry.

All one had to do was close the bedroom door to keep out the dog and not wake the child. Now who would think of that? and be able to get into the house without the dog barking.

Wonder IF the perp showered?

Wonder if JY's motel room had an electronic key?

Just wonderin'

Hi charlie ... what about the supposed business trip around your points 4 & 5 ? That's the official account of his trip - the parents were not mentioned at first.

Not sure what you mean PSA - #1 references the business trip. You want me to move it or specify it in another way ? No problem - let me know.
