Sorry guys, just as I was typing my first post saying hello when Amanda Lamb started the report so that's why I was typing and posting so quickly

Ok Amanda says that the Youngs believe the tooth to be Michelle's. There was a shot of Jason's vehicle including his license plate.

I'm sure there will be video of Amanda's report on the website soon if not already.

Missing tooth? That is an odd thing for someone to find after the team left the house.

We've heard that Michelle was in an open-casket, so we know the trauma had to be to the back of the head. That's some force used to knock a tooth out. Unless it was loose already, or just a cap or from dentures? I know she was young, but she may have had a tooth replaced for some reason....

Finding the tooth in the bedroom sure makes me lean toward the murder happening there.

JY car is sstill in the custody of investigators. Jason Young's sister found the tooth. Found near the bed.

You're very welcome. I did notice the WTVD website is reporting Michelle Youngs family was cleaning the house and Jason Youngs sister found the tooth - sooooo...I'm wondering what's up with that.

I will tell you that from personal experience with Amanda Lamb, she is one good and dedicated reporter. She is outspoken on victim's rights. When my grandmother was murdered she interviewed me personally. Then when I co-founded a support group for family memeber of victims of violent crime she busted her arse to get the info on the news and interviewed me again. She is on top of her game so I tend to believe her report that it was Jason's family who was cleaning and also who found the tooth. I don't think she would make a mistake indentifying the families but she is human as we all are. IMO

Thanks for the insight on Amanda Lamb. I have been impressed with every interview she has done so far about this case. She was also the one that reported that MY was not due at work that Friday on Greta's show and I have believed her because her reporting struck me as being very professional. That being said I will take her report as it was JY's family in the house and JY's sister (wonder if that is JTF myself) that found it.

Thanks again - I find the report about the car still being impounded as the most telling piece of information however. If JY was not a POI, or there was nothing in the car, that car would have been returned long ago IMO.

Did he wear the sunglasses even while in the tent area? Or was there a tented area over the casket?

I only remember footage of him walking in the sun w/the sunglasses on. It would look really bad if he wore the sunglasses under the canopy.

I only saw a shot of the back of his head when he was under the canopy.

Pennica added that the tooth has nothing to do with the case and would not have led to the identity of the perpetrator who killed Young.


"It's an item that had we recovered it, had we seen it, we would have sent it with the body, and it would have been buried," Pennica said.

from the footage Amanda Lamb used tonight for her story he was wearing his sunglasses under the canopy. IIRC he also was wiping his face. I just did a rewind to my DVR but my DH changed the channel after the story so now I've lost it but I'm 99.9 per cent sure that he wore the sunglasses under the canopy. I'm sure that when the video comes up on WRAL we will be able to see.

I don't know about that RC. I suspect if JY is not cooperating with LE they're going to hang on to that vehicle just as long as they can to irritate JY. I've seen this happen before.

Yup - Absolutely. Reverse psychology. The gloves are off. Little tidbits the Sheriff threw out yesterday - all part of it. The family may have to apply to the Court to get the vehicle back. JMO.

You're very welcome Jilly. I don't get to post with ya'll as much as I'd like to. I live very closeby this case so I get to watch the local news often. I just looked at the WRAL site again and there is still no video of Amanda's report. Hopefully it will be loaded later tonight. There was an awful lot of good footage of the funeral services, the home and Jason's vehicle. I guess I'm scarred from courttv because each time I post I feel like I MUST post a link to verify what I post even if it is my own opinion LOL.

If he committed this crime - he might be more than irritated - he may well be wondering just what the heck they did find - proverbial sweating bullets. Surely that high powered lawyer could get it back if there is nothing present, I would think.

Yes, he has her car but perhaps getting his vehicle back would ease his mind that they found nothing and I really doubt they want to accomodate him right now. I'm just guessing too!
