Puzzling - LE still has Jy's SUV sitting in the impound lot. I was thankful that Amanda Lamb cleared this up for us and verified it's location just a few days ago.

So, I'm thinking something was found in that vehicle otherwise LE would have no legal right to keep it. If JY's lawyer has filed a motion for its return we do not know - what we do know is if he did, it was denied as LE still has the vehicle. Today we get a bit of news that the Crime Lab is backed up and it may be a while before forensics are back.

So now I'm stuck thinking something was found in that vehicle that requires testing and since the lab is backed up it may be a while before whatever it is, is known. All this time I've been telling myself they found something and it implicates the owner of the vehicle as LE will not give it back. Only to realize the reason LE still has the vehicle is most likely related to a back up in the lab. Bummer !
Well if they found something incriminating in the SUV they wont give it back to him because it's evidence. Could be the GPS system in the SUV too.

I wonder if there is a bag with a cat in it .....about to come out for Jason too.

Hi FactsareFacts! W/c to Websleuths...

Yep; and the fur will fly when the cat comes out, methinks.

---------------

Hello fran... great post: my feelings to the T.

Whatever the outcome - whenever an arrest is made - if it's Jason there's ONE thing the Jasonites may not claim: LE focused on JY from the getgo. LE have not tripped up (er, OK, a tooth was discovered and the Jasonites were up in arms! Fine - a body and a fetus were discovered, too. Le have MORE reason to be up in arms over THAT!)

So with the tooth, let's just agree Jason could have prevented Truth-Decay himself, IMO!!!

IMO: Seems JY has himself given the public MORE reason to have all eyes on him simply because of his non-compliance and lack of cooperation. Had he returned immediately, handed over everything, (etc) there'd have been no need for a court order. He may still have lawyered up - sure. And coming home the next day was a grievous error, again IMO. The press would have had nothing to print about "Husband ordered to hand over evidence" -and then maybe his camping out in FortKnox may not remain ominous (to us, that is - not to LE as they have not uttered a word about JY).

If my SO was murdered I WOULD NOT LEAVE THE LOCATION, LET ALONE THE CITY it happened in. Look at Beth Twitty...Maura's father ... Mark Klaas, Lunsford plus, plus, plus ... they all beat an emotional path to justice (and one or two are still beating, sadly).

When we look at those who moved away... seems questions remain, and most often those are the unsolved crimes.

Put a bumper sticker on JY's car, willya, LE:

"Crime Doesn't Pay: Prevent Truth Decay"

Just my fifty dollars worth (sorry, spent all my small change and :twocents: peices...)

:D

Did they have GPS in all SUVs in 2002? Just wondering. I know they're common now but I don't know that all SUVs had that option back then. This would be really good to know. Thanks Fact for bringing this up!

RC do you know the model of this Mitsubishi?

Hi DeputyDawg! :) Nice to see you in here... :)

Although getting a lawyer would NOT be my first priority, Gerald McIntyre seemed determined to build a wall around JY. We have to ask why? Is it remotely possible JY fessed up or indicated something ominous to his family? We've never really heard "innocent" emphasized, repeated or claimed. Not even in the media or from LE. All we've heard, (much earlier), through rumoured "insiders" are the following statement:

LE are putting a twist on things...
Media 'frenzy' (that's a joke if ever there was one... media are SILENT and barricaded out).
Jason would never do this...
He was not there...
Anyone would lawyer up ...
They were very happy, very much in love...
Hi called home at 11 pm ...
He did not have gambling debts ...

IMO ... all we've heard are reasons, excuses, action-justifications (my term, lol) and so on. Irrespective of the truth, we haven't seen the usual "He's INNOCENT.."

Too many are too quiet. That's ok for the publie. But LE do not need this silence. I feel it's conterproductive and I feel JY has something to hide.

As always, the above is my humble opinion.

Almost unanimous: Not looking good for JY...
PSA, half the time I don't post because you and others must read my mind!

I've often wondered if JY's stepdad didn't also think something was up with JY visiting them. If this was something JY did often, then the stepfather would think nothing of it. If JY didn't have a routine of visiting the folks without his family and just happened to do so (solo) the day his wife is found murdered....

That's why I think JY's stepfather suggested he lawyer-up immediately.

I thought they did but now I am confused. Did Peterson's truck come with one or did LE put one on? If it came with one then the model was either a 2003 or 2002 (or older). Ahh...my memory is failing me.

hmm, good question...i can't remember for sure either....hmm, i was thinking they kept his truck during the trial, but now that you mention it, they showed pictures of the blood in his truck at the trial....maybe they DID put this tracking device on his truck right before they gave it back to him???....i bet Buzz1 would remember....

personally i don't think JY is going to give them anything to 'track'....he's going to sit tight at mom & dad's for quite awhile, i would think.....and IMO, IF his SUV has the tracking device on it when purchased, i wouldn't be a bit surprised if he had it taken out ...... i'm going to guess here (i guess a lot, lol) & say the SUV didn't have GPS....i'd be willing to bet, it's not an option that JY wanted when the vehicle was purchased....

morning jilly:)

if i'm not mistaken, RC has confirmed, by looking at the picture of the truck, that it's not a Mitsubishi, but a Ford instead....

One part of the investigation that remains the same is Harrison's belief in who may have done it.

Harrison said he still feels that it was not a random crime.

Harrison says Young's husband has been less than cooperative in the case, a case that doesn't appear to have any quick resolution.

Thank you Donnie!

lol, sorry bout that, but it makes me so angry when i really stop & think about it....seems he could have been standing there beside her, when she was pouring her heart out to the public, asking for help/info/clues....but noooooo, they might have asked HIM some questions, or asked HIM if he wanted to ask the public for any kind of help in finding his wife's murderer....

ok, so there's folks 'out there' that'll say..."why should he be asking for help when LE is investigating?"...... empty excuse, IMO....

Jilly,

The only vehicles I know for sure that are GPS equipped are GM products, Chevy, Caddy, etc. The GPS system is more commonly known as "OnStar".

Scott Petersons truck was a Ford - therefore it is pretty safe to assume it was not equipped with a GM option. This truck was eventually returned as Geragos filed for its return as the Petersons were making payments on it - the judge returned it to the Petersons telling the DA they could use pictures instead. You will recall however - the boat was not returned.

A few days back Amanda Lamb did a video report and showed JYs SUV sitting in th eimpound lot. Personal property records reflected a 2004 Mitsubishi, however the vehicle shown was actually a Ford. We discussed it here a bit and concluded that perhaps the Mitsubishi was either damaged heavily in the accident or JY recently changed vehicles, or it could be a company vehicle. Seeing as how it is a Ford - it is again most unlikely that there is a GPS system mounted in this vehicle as Ford does not carry this option based on their website.

In summary - JY was driving a Ford SUV - the clip was so short, could not tell exactly what model or year but it was not the large Expedition type.

The plate number NC 58930 does belong to JY

Fords are not equipped with GPS systems. On Star is a General Motors option which includes onboard GPS, onboard vehicle diagnostics, and emergency assistance and so on.

Hope this answers eveyone's questions.

I guess he had to have something different from most other cases by not going on tv and pleading for help from the public in finding himself. ;)

Don't apologize - I certainly agree with you. If Lynn Fisher had the strength to get up and say what she needed to say, one would think that the husband could at least stand at least with her in a unified front to encourage people with information to come forward. I don't care if he was the husband - a Mother's grief is infinitly more severe under such circumstances. Weenie boy (IMO) was long gone...

IMO those who say "why should he be asking for help when LE are investigating" should proceed to an eye doctor to have their eyes opened and a shrink to screw the light bulb back in. JMO.

Guess he must have remembered how SP was standing next to Sharon Rocha during the first press conference and when Sharon was done making her pleas, the media focused on SP, asking him about the 'fishing story.'

Remember how he didn't like that and stalked off stage?

IMHO, Jason NOT being beside the victim's mom during that plea is VERY SIGNIFICANT!

I believe it's referred to by LE as 'consciousness of guilt.' Then by being less than cooperative..................:loser:.............this only leads right on back to him in most people's eyes.

We aren't taught to commit crimes, one just decides to do it. All the planning in the world to try to commit the 'perfect crime' doesn't mean cra# if you don't know how to act innocent once the crime is revealed.

That was SP's undoing, how to 'act' innocent once the deed was done. He didn't do all of his homework on how to 'play the grieving husband, the right answers to give, etc.' His only way to avoid answering the questions was to hide. JUST LIKE JASON IS DOING!

JMHO

PS......forensics or no, is there a cat waiting to jump out from the sidelines?

PPS........Earth to cat!(if you do in fact exist) IF you're there, you better hurry and come on down and show yourself or once revealed through other sources other than your own doing, you could be held as an accessory after the fact!!!!!!!!imho, fran
