Thanks for that, Taximom. I'll get LKL in the morning! Poor Sharon. 4 years on :(

Scout: as for Slipping Out ... Ugh.... Well I think he used that to relate to "Boys-Bonding" like he 'slipped out before the weight, butt-size, tv-Idol, hair and nails" chat commenced. I think he said as much to achieve a mutual and well-rounded slap-on-the-back 'I know laugh' from his friends.

He's a con artist as well as a salesman. He knows his audience; right now he's shutting up for his biggest audience ever ... and may just remain silent hereon in (IMO,O,O) LOL :)

I'm new and this is my first post, so I hope I'm doing it right! Anyway, I wanted to address the life insurance issue. I paid life insurance claims for several years (which doesn't show you the best side of human nature!) and one thing I learned is that people will kill people for pretty small amounts of money. However, if JY is a suspect to LE (even if they don't say he is to the rest of the world) the insurance co. claim rep will know it and will not release the funds to him (if he is the beneficiary) until the police clear the suspect or a trial is complete. I worked with LE on many claims that worked like this. I was also asked by LE more than once to not tell the bene that the police believed them to be a suspect. BTW, the insurance company contacts LE because of the info contained on the Death Certificate-which must be a certified, final DC (includes cause and manner of death). LE was usually pretty excited to get a call from us advising them of the insurance policy. If he is convicted, the money goes to the contingent beneficiary. If there is no contingent bene, then it goes to the deceased's estate and so on.

Just for the record-I think he definitely did it. I think his jig is about up. Thanks!

Bellgardin,

You did just fine ! Thanks for that information, it is always interesting to hear how things really work. Honestly I had not thought about the insurance in that depth but am glad you brought it forth. It is nice to know that the insurance companies contact LE when a claim is made based on a death other than natural causes. Salute !

I agree - I think he did it - and his jig is about up as well. Hang around and keep us in line on these issues. Factual information about how things proceed is always very helpful.

ETA - your opinions would be just as welcome !

Bellgardin!!! Welcome!! :) And thank you for answering my questions on an earlier post way back when. Very good to know that the claims are not settled until one is cleared as a suspect!

Thank you for bringing your expertise to this forum! Appreciated!!

Hi Bellgardin. Great first post! Thanks for your insight and commitment to this forum, but more than that: WELCOME TO W/S!!

Look, there had to be more for JY (in his mind, that is) to gain from this murderous act than to continue his diabloical cheatin ways. It's now no secret he was a womanizer. It's my OWN opinion we'll hear there are MORE women on his snakes 'n ladders board game.

With what he STOOD TO LOSE (as a gamblin man) if a court battle ensued, meant more to him that divorce. He planned and committed (IMO) the deadly murder of his wife and unborn son ... as that was an easier and more cowardly option for him to handle than child support, split estate etc. Add salesman &gambler together;throw in the available woman - you have a Classic Scumbucket, nothiing less, IMO. A deeply sad creep of a life, IMO. A loser.... he prolly needed a plaster-of-Paris cask to,er, maintain momentum... ya.... know???? By the way ... he's really ugly. Bleeek...

You jogged me back to one of the "friends" comments about something being missing - if someone did see him - maybe the clothes he had on are what is missing. JMO, of course. :)

Yes, we've never really thought about this, but whoever murdered Michelle in what was one of the most horrific crime scenes the RPD has seen in 20+ years, had to have ditched what he had on. For one thing he would never be able to get the blood really out.

Wish I could write to Larry Kobilinski again to see what he thinks about blood spatter in this case, but without the autopsy report it isn't time yet. I will when we get that report. I do know that when a gun if fired there is blow back, but I don't know about 'spatter-back' {:waitasec:} in a bludgeoning. And thinking of 10 blows to the back of the head which they say would be very bloody, the killer would have to have lots of blood on him.

Charlie, did they take his watch do you know? If he had gloves on it would probably cover the watch, right. If you were in the killers place Charlie, where would you ditch the bloody items? Any ideas?

:hand: Bellgardin, I want to welcome you too to our forum. You'll really enjoy it I know. Sometimes we have to push ourselves away from the 'puter to get menial tasks done like cleaning, shopping, eating, etc LOL

Annie, be sure and check in the minute you get back. Tell your hubby he's got to hang loose for a few because you have to let us know you are safe and sound!~

Have a wonderful trip and don't drink the water in England. Only bottled for you. I heared on CNN there could be radioactive elements in their water and even though it's Christmas we don't want you lit up like a light bulb, or Annie with the light green hair! :blowkiss:

Scandi,

I am next to worthless about the blood spatter thing. As you know all to well I followed the Dyleski case like a hawk. One of the things that really surprised me in that case, given the blood bath found in the Horowitz home, was that there was actually very little blood (there was enough to convict) of the victim actually present on the mask, the glove, and the other clothes found. It was there but not in excess which totally blew me away given what he did to Pamela. Of course one of the common sense items missing were pants, which I believe dear Mom conveniently burnt.

Now to this case - where could the clothes be - there has to be tons of places and since we don't know about his actual whereabouts we are left to speculate. Some of my thoughts would include dumpsters in and around any hospital or Dr office that JY may have had a meeting with or at a hotel if there was one. Unless someone saw him put something in such dumpsters - the clothes are probably long gone as JY shut up and LE had to take the route of discovering where he was.

Some other thoughts would be trash disposal bins along his routes of travel - again they would most likely be gone due to the discovery issue referenced above. then there is Transylvania County - he grew up there, worked summerws at a white water rafting outfitter - he knows places, he knows places where he could dispose or bur without being interupted. The possibilites are limitless IMO.

If no one saw him leave other than MY - no idea how anyone would really determine if clothes are missing. If someone did see him leave, and those clothes were not found in his luggage it might raise doubts but I think there are few people who can say without a doubt exactly what someone was wearing - generalities-dark shirt and pants and so on. Not sure it would actually mean anything if someone decribed his clothes in such general terms. So far we are not aware of any warrants being served at his folks or relatives houses. IMO the clothes are long gone unless he is incredibly stupid and LE is extremely lucky.

The watch is a very good thought but I doubt the warrant issued for the SUV would cover any items personally on his person at the time. This is the one warrant I want to see by the way. I think there was something a bit unusual found in or on that SUV-perhaps in the rug near the gas and brake pedals. I am very curious about this machine brought in for this case. While reading up on luminol I ran across some very interesting material about what all can be found with luminol - perhaps we will see another bloody footprint or partial footprint.

Sure wish we had more to work with :D

Welcome Bellgardin :)
Have a good trip PSA

I like RC's theory about the job since that's been a point of interest for us. Add with it that Michele was talking about going part-time and he's then not so free with his finances. He gets a job allowing him to travel but then he'd be the primary income source. He may have been getting away with it by saying he was gambling.

Have a great time on your trip PSA! :)

I have just been snoopin' the other board and that poster in the know is going out of town too! Is there somethin' you're not telling us? ;)

:D Just kiddin'!!!

fran

Oh............from snoopin' I learned

1. MM wasn't persuing JY, he was persuing her. There was only a one-time consumation of their affair, a weekend her husband was out of town. Of course, remember this is information coming from one of MM and JY's sorority sisters who's probably getting it from MM. FWIW

2. JY was known in college as 'boodie boy.'

3. hints of a co-conspirator! who may be cooperating with LE, especially about the FAX

4. The autopsy report may be out by Xmas, but the friend said she was struck 10 times in the head. There was no murder weapon found at the scene, but it's suspected it was either a hammer or a baseball bat..............and she did have defensive wounds.

5. JY is from $$. Her dad is a neurologist.

6. Sounds like the dog type is a lab. They aren't sure if the dog was in the house or not. They said they let him in and out of the house and garage, (where the door was partially open?)

7. He mentioned 'Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice.' I know that was a movie but I don't remember what it was about, I never saw it.

8. The sorority sisters aren't surprised about the affairs as they thought the marriage wasn't going to work out because he liked to play the field. They were surprised that he did seem to be totally happy and are shocked he's suspected of MY and baby's murder.

9. JY had left for his trip prior to her friend coming over to watch GA. When the friend left at 10:30, MY walked her out to her car.

This person had a few good points.

First, JY left the home, maybe around 5:00 P.M. and possibly arrived at his destination around 9:00 P.M.

Second, LE originally asked if anyone saw any cars in the area between 1:00 to 5:00 A.M., but then revised it to 12:00 midnight to 6:00 A.M. They think they're basing that on JY's timeline as to arrival and distance from home and his appointment the next day.

Third, this person said why aren't they asking about cars in the neighborhood earlier?

Fourth, the person with MY that night did say that part about feeling as if she was being watched, but referred to 20/20 hindsight. FWIW

Like I said in my last few posts, some of this might already have been talked about here, and lot is 'rumor' at this point because LE isn't talking.

JMHO
fran

Oh........PS..........there's a pool not too far from the Y's house with a parking lot, where someone could 'wait' and have easy access to the Young home through the woods in the back............

and PPS.......sorry if I repeat et al, I'm working and can't find the time to read all you've all been sayin'. It's a hit and miss thing for me now.... :slap:

Oh my! YOUR home town? Same as my dad's. In WW2 he was with the Naval escorts for both sides of the allies (serving on both US & UK flotilla). One day, they chanced upon CapeTown. Oh :( ... charlie ... Dad met my mom, 18 then, who'd JUST lost her bro to the war; working 2 jobs... one as hotel restaurant waitress - and evenings on the telephone (plug-in exchange) exchange operators desk which was qute something for women in africa back then. We (kids) have only TWO photos of them back then: mom was so pretty, dark-short-hair in shiny locks combed back off her face, typical of early 50's and a red cupid smile with that flawless pastel skin and very pretty brown eyes. Gosh: 50 odd years ago. He loved Africa. But indeed I'll have a "pint' for you, even though I can say I've not swallowed a whole beer in all my years (shared a couple, not had 'my own'., lol. Made up for it with wine, lol). Time passes quickly ... I feel ancient, LOL :D

Y'know, first up I kinda thought "we....eee....ell..." ... but seems that this new job fitted in with JY's style quite well.

If that' the case, why kill the wife?

Custody?
Inheritance?
Freedom?

tsk, tsk ....

Fran,

Thanks for the post. I too am working and it is hard to keep up. Boodie Boy, huh...well we now have a nickname!! So Michelle is rumored to have walked her friend to the car, wonder their take on this. Ambushed so there was no forced entry.
