Heat index to top 100 degrees in Metro Detroit

Metro Detroiters should don light clothing, seek shade and stock up on water as heat indexes top 100 degrees the next few days, according to the National Weather Service in White Lake Township.
The high temperature (Thursday) is going to be in the low 90s, but we can expect heat index highs in the upper 90s and lower 100s, meteorologist Sara Schultz said. Temperatures tomorrow are going to continue to be in the low to mid 90s with a heat index still in the low 100s.
