Thank God for global warming, without it we would all be buried in snow or freeze to death.

I wondered about this myself. What if...??? Without the global warming phenomenon, what would our weather be like?

Just received email alert that Wind Chill warning for Oakland County (north-suburban Detroit) has been canceled.

You must not be too far away from me, Show.

Weather people are REALLY hyping it up around here. School stuff cancelled tonight. Sports cancelled. And we aren't even under a watch. Yet.

We just got hail, largest was ping pong ball size and not very many of those thank goodness. Yep a lot of hype here also. I really doubt we'll get a tornado warning though we've hours to go before watch expires. Now having said that, we'll probably get a tornado.

Hazardous weather warning issued for Metro Detroit

Tom Greenwood, The Detroit News 7:49 a.m. EDT April 9, 2015

On this date in 1865, the thunder of cannons finally ceased as the Civil War came to an end.

One hundred and fifty years later, southeastern Michigan awoke to the sound of booming thunder as spring storms brought the threat of hazardous weather into the area...

Our house shook from a rumble of thunder early this morning :scared: Things are pretty quiet for now, but there will be more thunder, lightening, and heavy downpours as the day progresses. Glad I don't have to go out today. Be safe, everyone.

I just read about this on aol, I didn't feel it nor the 1 back in the 80's. Can't understand how an earthquake can cause commenters to bicker....3....2...1 they will blame Bush or Obama:gaah:

People all around us felt the earthquake today but we were outside at the dog park and didn't feel it. My niece said her trailer really shook. The Flint jail was locked down because the building shook. Many people who were standing outside said they got dizzy and felt sick to ther stomachs. Some areas of town seemed to feel the earthquake more than others.
