McComb tells KRIS 6 Jonathan McComb, his wife, Laura and their two children, both under the age of 10, were visiting the home of Ralph and Sue Carey when the flood waters "swept the house away.

Developments reported at a 3:15 p.m. press briefing from Hays County emergency management coordinator Kharley Smith and San Marcos emergency management coordinator Ken Bell:
Officials said a mans body has been recovered in San Marcos, the first confirmed fatality from overnight flooding in the Blanco River basin. Another three people in the Wimberley area are missing.

This bridge over the Blanco River failed on 5-23-2015 after the river rose after more than 12 inches of rain in a very short period of time. This crossing is on Fischer Store Rd, just north of Canyon Lake, TX and West of Wimberley, TX.
34 years ago, one of the worst floods in Austin's history devastated homes along Shoal and Walnut Creeks.
That night 10 inches of rain fell on Austin in just four hours.
UPDATE: 8 people missing in Wimberly due to floods. All were visiting from Corpus Christi.

Thunderstorms have knocked out power to more than 8,000 homes and businesses in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Meteorologists say they have no reports of major damage from Sunday's storms, although 51 of Louisiana's 64 parishes and 30 of Mississippi's 82 counties are under a tornado watch.
WIMBERLEY, Texas (KXAN) — Eight people have been confirmed missing in Wimberley following flooding Saturday night, with three being former Nueces County Commisioner Joe McComb’s daughter-in-law and grandchildren, Joe confirmed to KXAN. Joe’s son Jonathan McComb has been found with injuries.
The confirmed missing from the families include:
Laura McComb
Two McComb children both under the age of 10.
Ralph and Sue Carey
Randy Charba and Michelle Charba (Daughter of Ralph and Sue)
One Charba child that is four years old.
