Thank you! I too liked the photo better without the strap. Just artistically more appealing, but once it was pointed out to me that it looked like she was photographed nude, I was stopped cold in my tracks. I just love this photo though, I like the way the light was captured in her eyes.

you are not a world famous photographer yet your child's picture looks artistic. you photo shopped a strap in because your child could appear nude. that was not your plan. i think the picture of your daughter looks angelic with or without the strap. the picture of MC looks like she is crawling out of bed nude.

Ohhhh inspiration! Some beautiful angel wings would be a great addition to the photo!

I think people shouldn't let the children idolize "stars" ...parents all too often feel cheated. It isn't Rileys job to give other peoples children someone to look up to. She's 15, not 12! There was NOTHING trashy about those photo's. Your children are going to be indoctrinated to the world by someone...it should be YOU! Not some tv star.

I think Jon Benet Ramsey's pageant outfits were more of an outrage than these Miley pictures.

I fear for my 12 year old daughter. she looks up to MC. i do not want her to feel the quick trip to popularity is to show her body. as the parent of a tween is is difficult to teach her about respecting her sexuality already. it is not helpful when she can see that girls close to her age are thought of as sex symbols.

i fear for MC. the adults in her life are not protecting her. at 15 it is not unusual for a girl to want to feel all grown up and sexy. it is the job of adults in her life to set limits. for the adults in her life to accept money for the child to pose like she is climbing nude from a bed teaches the child her sexuality is a commodity.

i fear for a society that no longer views children as a non sexual object. i have candid pictures of my children nude. their first bath and such. a beautiful picture of my daughter fresh from a bath nude on her stomach at 6 months. my intent behind the picture was to show how happy she was all wide eyed and laughing. i would never strip my child nude or try to make her appear nude to showcase her sex appeal. yet we have a society that will debate the artistic value of having a 15 year old take off her clothes for cash.

"take off you shirt and bra. slip this sheet in front of you and cover just your breast. show us your bare back. look at the camera and pout. quick someone mess up her hair and touch up that lip stick. now hold still while we take a picture. let me hand your dad a check for your pin up shot. don't worry you are famous so it is not kiddie it is art. now how long before turn 16?"

We are talking about a child people. A 15 year old child. I would not be this outraged at all if she were 18 and a legal adult. She is a CHILD - plain and simple.

I don't have a nasty mind either. These pics depict Miley Cyrus in a sexual, seductive way. There is nothing artsy about them. They are exploitive and the adults around her should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen.
