I understand what you are saying...but she hasn't dyed her hair blonde nor does she wear the wig except when she is promoting her show or in concert. It is done as a disguise, not as a "look enhancer". I think who ever came up with the gimmick did a great job for her.

I think she's gorgeous. The dress is a bit short, but I see people wearing stuff that short all the time. Of course, it's hot here and you see people in bikinis in restaurants all the time.

Not that a year makes a difference, but she is 16 now. Just a couple of months ago.
My kids love Hannah Montanna. I enjoy the show. I like Miley. From all I've seen of her so far, she is more grounded than most kids of fame. Hopefully that will stick. Only time will tell.
She's not on the loose, really. Her Dad is on the TV show with her & her mom went on her tour. So the parents are both around a lot & the family seems pretty close. She has two older half siblings by her mother, one half brother by her father of almost the same age and two younger by her mother & father. Her older half sister plays in her band sometimes & the younger sister has been on her show as an extra a few times.
The song she & her dad did together -- Ready, Set, Don't Go -- is really great. You can hear how much he cares.
Achy Breaky was Billy Ray's first hit & he was known as a one hit wonder for a while, but he's had lots of others over the years that have done well for him. One of my favs is "Some Gave All". (I hated Achy Breaky). He's also done a religious one and he has commented on how he was a mess at the age his daughter is now & how much more grounded she seems to be in handling it all.

I think she is adorable. My son and I went to see her concert at the movies. It was really cute. She is a fairly talented girl, her parents appear to be very involved in her career and are helping her to make wise choices. Miley has a strong faith and a good head on her shoulders. I hope that through her success she stays strong and doesn't forget who she is.
