Statement on Additional Countries in Support of September 6 Joint Statement on Syria

On September 6, the United States and 10 other countries issued a joint statement on Syria, condemning in the strongest terms the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons on August 21 in the suburbs of Damascus and calling for a strong international response. The statement explicitly supports the efforts undertaken by the United States and other countries to reinforce the prohibition on the use of chemical weapons.

A big fat NO.
Didn't we learn anything from Vietnam?
Obama really needs to give back the Nobel peace prize. What a joke!

No we didn't otherwise, we'd not have supported an attack on Iraq. :( They had no role whatsoever in the attack on 9-11.

So the answer is a harsh "no". We learn nothing from our past mistakes.

And yes, I agree, take it away (or make him pay it back :) ........don't hold our breath on that one however. And perhaps consider Putin as the "Man of the Year for the Nobel Peace Prize. :twocents:

U.N. Security Council's 5 key members to meet on Syria
David Jackson and Doug Stanglin, USA TODAY 3:23 p.m. EDT September 11, 2013
U.S., Russia, Britain, China, France discuss France's draft resolution on Syria.

The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council — Russia, China, Britain, France and the U.S. — are holding a closed-door meeting Wednesday to discuss France's draft resolution on chemical weapons in Syria, according to an administration official.

The French resolution would give Syria 15 days to declare its entire stock of chemical weapons and make them immediately available for inspection before their destruction, The Times of London reports.
...Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the U.S. to remove the threat of military action off the table.

Damn.

There are several articles, and loads of info, just posting one:

Steam has been seen rising from North Korea's Yongbyon nuclear facility, suggesting that the reactor has been restarted, a US institute says.

Disappointed there isn't a poll.

I am against the US going into Syria. I was against the war in Middle East.
We do not need to be sticking our nose into every other countries business.
