I agree! I'm not sure if his attys were military or civilian, but I'm pretty sure if they were military, you don't have to pay them. I like the theory of the and wife discussing all nite then she suddenly "finds" the note.

It would have been military attorney's. Also, I believe discussed that at this point wife should save herself. Tell LE that she was an abused wife, that she was afraid because she knew what was capable of now. IMO.

Looks like I stand correct that money was withdrawn from Maria's ATM. I thought no withdrawal had been made. But I do distintly recall that there was a $400.00 amount mentioned. Was that the withdrawal amount or the balance??

400 was the amount withdrawn. If Maria was going to run, she would not have left money behind. She would have needed it. I don't think many 20 year old 8 and half month pregnant Marines are flush with cash they can leave behind.

On Christmas Eve, money was withdrawn from her bank account. There is surveillance video of a man making the withdrawal and attempting to cover his face. The sheriff won't say who, but he says Lauterbach died between December 14 and December 20, before that withdrawal was made.
