So he would have had to be on base to have his gun? So theoritically, he could have driven off base with his gun?

Is there a checkpoint before you can drive off base? Are you checked to see if you are carrying any weapons?

More info on the blood splatters. Two rooms involved:

Before, they were talking about a possible suicide. And this note said something about a suicide. But now the sheriff, Sheriff Brown, is saying, no, it looks more like a murder. And with this blood spatter in two different rooms -- apparently, there was some blood spatter in the garage and one other room, Anderson.

And apparently there had been some -- they had made some effort to try to clean it up and even try to paint over it. But the chemical luminol that they use, you go into the room, you turn the lights down in the room, and you can spray it on the wall, and it will glow blue for about 30 seconds, even trace evidence, even trace amounts of the blood that is not even visible to the eye and blood that has been painted over.

Horrible thought - did they try to remove the baby - (reason for blood in two rooms maybe)

Either to whisk it away (not likely, but hoping for some shred of compassion here) sell him/her, adopt out, abandon etc

or just to be a sick which we already know he is...

Do we have a positive myspace on the wife? I've seen both the "marine brat on the way" is her and isn't her (the wife)

IF it is her.......umm...was/is she pregnant currently...IF not, and that is her....Ummm...could she have thought about taking the baby somehow as her own. Sick yes, but we've seen much, much worse.

Theoretically, I would imagine he could drive off base with the gun. And you have to drive through the gate to leave base, but as far as if they would search you or not, I don't remember. I was never searched. But usually when in the field, everyone had to turn their weapons in and they were all checked in. Its been so long since I was in. My memory isn't what it used to be! We had M16's but I think the marines may have hand guns. Easier to hide.

remember I'm military challenged, but when the ex signed up, that was one the perks that were preached to us, we could catch a flight, as long as there was room. (It's been roughly 12 years, so I'm sure things could have/might have changed, and in all honesty, I could be remembering the terminology used)

But - COULD he have called a "friend" to help him get the hell out of dodge? I know he was sighted recently, BUT how often to flights take off etc when it comes to stuff like that?

If he didn't check his gun back in, the military should be aware of it and if they know, you would hope the cops would know. But who knows? I agree the public should know if he is armed and dangerous! Jeez!

can you tell something like that just by "viewing" a body and/or scene? I mean, up until they found blood in the house, it sounds like they did think it was a possible suicide.

Could they have removed the babe only to find that he/she had already passed?

Someone mentioned placing the baby down first and then her on top face down so that it appears that baby was still in utero....any possibility to something like that coming into play w/ the other scenarios mentioned?
