Oh my Goodness, i have obviously stepped on some toes here. Maybe it would have been better to have stayed in lurker mode. I am just as angry and upset over this case as everyone else. I am just trying to come up with answers the same as most on here. I was trying to find a plausable answer for the purchase of the bus ticket. From my own experiance i have found that it was plausable she might have been been in a relationship with him. I am in no way disrespecting her at all. That was not my intention and i am sorry if you found i done that. I am upset and want answers to this case too. I am sorry if i offended anyone. I will not come back to post. It took a long time to come out of lurker mode and i did not expect to get slammed right off the bat so i am really sorry if i disrespected and or offended any. I hope we all find answers in the case and that he is caught very very soon and pays for what he has done. I hope Maria and baby are at peace and her family will find some comfort in the justice that will be brought to her killer.
Please don't go back into Lurker mode! I respect your opinion and you have every right to state it. We are all passionate about this case or we wouldn't be here. I agree that I have heard about women who have taken up with their rapist before and we can't rule anything out on this case until the proof comes out. It is odd that she would purchase a ticket to El Paso, TX when she is almost due and her family lives in OH. You are good to think outside the box. We don't know what happened between this suspect and Maria. They ended up together at some point and we don't have a clue how that happened yet!! Stick around!

Yep, I dared.

Phone rang for a loooong time. Fellow who answered says he is too busy to check arrivals, can I call back in fifteen?

Any ideas how to find the schedules? I can't believe I can't find it online!

I've had to skip over the last page or two, so if this has been answered please tell me. Thanks!

If he is on the greyhound bus, he had to have left his truck somewhere. I can't believe it hasn't been spotted yet.

If Cesar is on a bus, I hope they can aprehend him without incident.

Still too close. I'm sure they had to share the same parking lot, eat at the same commisary. And work at desk in an office filled with his friends.

OH, I agree Suzi. She was having to put up with constant harassment from the perp and his friends. Their is already an outcry building about this case. Last night some of the reporters were questioning the handling of this case. It sounds like they're blaming the military for not 'protecting' the victim and then putting off giving the sheriff needed information that could have made the local LE's job easier and quicker.

I did see though, that the sheriff is stating that he believes that by the time he found out on 12/19 that she was missing, she was already dead. He believes she was killed the very next day after she talked to her mom.

Not saying he did say this, but I would believe that he told his COs that they did not have sex at all and the reason he needed to dispose of her and the baby. The baby was to be tested after birth to see if it was his or not as proof of the rape allegation.

However, if she dropped the suit...then why would it matter? Could she have taken it up again and refiled it possibly?

Child support? don't have to have rape charges to be granted that, just a DNA test. Maybe once the stipulation order got put in for CS, since it would be going to the same branch of service that had originally been dealing w/ the rape charges...well wouldn't they almost have an obligation to follow up when presented with facts?

Plus, if it came out for CS - then he would have to ADMIT to all those that he denied anything happening to......

I don't believe they're sure. The most recent reports are he COULD be headed to Texas. They said he was 'either getting on or off' the bus.

Oh no don't stop posting.I understand what you were saying.Just thinking out side the box.
I don't think you were trying to blame the victim at all ,just throwing another possiblity out there.

cali:

I'm assuming he has ditched his truck since he is on a bus now. Why LE hasn't come out and said it has been found is something I am wondering about now.

paddy: Good thought on insurance. Something to leave his wife and child? Sure, he can kill someone and his unborn child, but think of leaving money to his wife and child??? don't think so personally. He will kill himself. If not, ss will make me do more news coverages. LOL

How can they not know if he is getting "off or on" a bus?! I would think it would be obvious, no?

Hi Littledeer, L will not kill himself, he'll let LE do that, so insurance will pay off, just my opinion.

No, life insurance can/will still pay off in the event of a suicide...At least Aetna does if the policy is older than two years. Both of my parents death certificates read suicide...and they paid out both times.....Not saying it would for sure, just that LI policies do pay out for suicides.

Maybe someone just saw him in the terminal.

Already tried that SS. No schedules that I could find. I did see a map of the routes but no arrival or departure shcedules at all. Good luck if you can see something I missed!

If he's coming thru here, I'll volunteer to make a fool of myself and check to be sure the local LE is on top of it. I'll go to the station and rubberneck if I have to.

Go for it TGI!

I got an alert out to truck drivers here in Ohio looking for the truck. (which I had thought he was driving).

I would think LE knows the schedule by now and has LE at different stops along the way. Don't you think????

  • #496
If they don't know if he was getting "off or on" do we even know if he is ON a bus NOW? If so, why can't they pull the bus over or alert the driver by radio? or as you said, have LE at bus stops on the way!

I was about to ask the same thing Beavismom...about pulling over the bus. Then it dawned on because of the safety of the other passengers. The don't want a hostage situation to arise.

On those long distance runs, the bus has several stops before they reach their final destination. This may have been a 'meal stop.' The person who identified him to LE was most likely on the bus with him from NC. They probably were getting off in LA. So now, anyone who would know if he's on the bus or not, is most likely on the same bus

True, cee, I agree, but couldn't they have a hostage situation in any case ie if they are waiting at a bus depot, etc?
