I am no body language expert. I noticed LD would make a statement and nod his head ‘no’ as if his words disagreed. Saw the same thing with BM (Morphew). It maybe the way they talk, but it was noticeable . Especially with LD

I rewatched the interview, this time without audio, and I noticed this immediately. His body language is incongruous with the words he is saying.

I once worked with a woman who did the same thing--shook her head "no" while speaking--and a colleague pointed it out to me. Turns out she had previously been in an infamous cult (whose members had been brainwashed), and it just creeped us out because we couldn't tell if she was trustworthy or not.

I'm also wondering why LD dressed the way he did for the interview. He looked very covered up.

6 million dollars is an arbitrary amount that doesn't have any 'dream of' symbolism to us. We don't go around saying "If I had 6 million dollars, I'd ______". But it is roughly 100 million pesos, which is a rounder number and may be a more common "dream of" amount there.

Just thinking about the ransom demand. Have not been able to reconcile such a seemingly random amount of USD as yet.

Does someone recognize the brand of LD's vest? Maybe, it's the same brand of Lantana man's fleece jacket?

I have listened to many podcasts on this case and heard probably over 2 dozen experts weigh in. Ex FBI, LE, etc etc.

The single thing that astounds ALL of them most is LE not taking the doormat away for further testing. Have yet to hear anyone that is not troubled by that.

They came back and took the Nest bracket after the video surfaced.....seems like that would have been the perfect opportunity to take the doormat as well. You would think.
I KNOW----and wouldn't you think they'd have taped off the front entry completely....NO one allowed to walk up those steps or onto that porch at all. Shocked me that they were so casual about that area.

Good morning! You are quite right. I don't for one minute think they carried her and per SG she wasn't capable of walking very far either. So, even if they forced her to walk at first, they would have ended up carrying her, unless the walking killed her. Given that the dogs found nothing and the blood drops end just below the porch, it seems reasonable there had to be a vehicle of some kind. MOO
She had a pacemaker. She was 84. It would not surprise me if she had a heart attack once she saw masked men and they began to force her outside. 😞 😢

So this makes me think items were taken from the house. ..
Not necessarily. People often wear jewellery on their person even while sleeping, and especially things on a chain like a necklace or bracelet can be broken during a struggle. They're exactly the kind of thing that might be small enough to be overlooked but picked up with ease by a detectorist.

I know it's been a long time since her husband died, but I wonder if Nancy still wore her wedding ring?

You see this all the time in cases.

People likely walked on it before LE even got there. I am sure it was photographed and sampled, but if they had blood inside, not necessarily any need to sample the blood outside.

What are we expecting to find on the doormat?

It's possible. Some people just don't wear one, though. My father-in-law never did because he worked sheet metal, and it's a safety issue. And some people stop wearing them because they gain or lose weight around their hands, the latter of which can happen when you lose muscle tone in your hands as you age. My partner never wears rings because her hands swell up or slim down depending on her circulation that day - after we lost her anniversary ring in the driveway and it was miraculously found quite a while later by my brother before it was crushed by a car (silver and rainbow moonstone, it would have been toast) she stopped wearing them all together. We know Nancy had heart issues and was likely on medication. So does my partner, though her issues are probably different. The meds, though, and how much you hydrate can really affect things like fluid retention.

I always say in these cases having to live with the ‘unknown’ is worse than finding your relative deceased.
I'm a K9 handler with a SAR bloodhound on a team that also has HRD dogs - I have ALWAYS heard from families that even if the outcome is a recovery and not a rescue, it is FAR better than the not knowing. I've been a part of some heartbreakingly beautiful moments with families and consider it an incredible privilege & honor to be part of these moments. But yes, the unknown is just so...unfinished. You don't want to give up hope but you're trying to balance the reality of odds and it has to just feel so confusing and heart shattering.
