Morning all

Press conf. minutes away on FOX.

Expecting news on COD. Autopsy is in. They think it was BFT to the head.

I just knew it was BFT. Too much blood.

Fox just now reporting, there is going to be a news conference shortly. Kelly just sated that we probably will learn the body has been officially identified as that of Maria and that possible blunt for trauma is the cause of death.

IMO, with the body being burned beyong recognization, it may very well hide other evidence of torture, such as an attempt to take the baby, torture during a possible time period of days she may have been in captivity, we don't know proof positive yet the true details of everything, for police are still investigating and learning.

Coming out of the closet, I've always liked sheriff brown. The first time I even saw him on fox was while I was visiting my Pastor for prayer to be healed before surgery, He yelled out, "Ilike that man".

According to fox, autopsy results which were kept secret as of last night, are now saying blunt force trauma is the result of death, which is in contrast to the note left according to Laurean. Cops are on top of this people. Coming up news conference.

His father-in-law says he's not the man he thought he was.

"I thought I knew him very well and this is quite surprising because I said I thought he was a man of character and it's obviously he's just a coward taking off on his family and leaving. This is just as a tragedy for both families. It's just a horrible vulgar act," said Bruce Shifflet, Laurean's father-in-law.

.....

Laurean's father-in-law says his daughter, Christina, spoke with him before he fled.

"He needed to go to the police and talk about, because he told her that he -- he said to her that Maria committed suicide and that he panicked and took the body and buried it out in the woods. That's when Christina said that he needs to go before the police, but he didn't. He took off," said Shifflet.

Just got finished reading the article, good find.

For those who can't get near a tv or have speakers, can someone recap the press announcement please????

  • #69
I only caught part of Greta's show last night. Could you do a recap of what you remember?:blowkiss:

The main point I remember is that the neighbor said his wife ALWAYS gets up at 6:30 a.m. to walk their dog(s). When his wife got up that morning (that Laurean fled), Laurean was still there. When her child got on the bus around 8 a.m., Laurean was gone.

Which to me blows the "he left at 4 a.m." story.

That is why I asked...because I thought earlier someone had mentioned that Maria's father was military (Master Sgt.).

I should never sleep around here! I get details out of place in my head when I do. LOL

Finally got caught up again. You guys are great.Lots and lots of great sleuthing going on around here  .

Can some one tell me if I am understanding this correctly. From what the Sherriff was saying on NG last night..

That Detective got the case on the 19th didn't know about the rape.Contacted the mother and got info that there was an "incident" on base in April. They wanted to first talk to her roomate(because he lived with her...first place to look really because he would be one of the closest people to her easy access ect) In talking to her duty station they kept getting the run around. The detectives finally went to the Sherriff and told him of the run around they were getting from her duty station.
Sherriff calls the CO of the Base which he found out knew nothing about the "incident" on base. The CO gave them the info of the rape ect which is when Cpl POSs name came up.The CO also put the wheels in motion for the roommate to be brought back from CA.
Thats when Cpl 🤬🤬🤬 said he would come in for questioning cancelled promised another date and Lawyered up and his Lawyers stated that he would not be questioned.

Is this correct?

That is exactly how I remember it, too.

Geesh! Come on already! I'm supposed to be working and can't hang out in front of the TV all day. Don't they know we're all waiting?! I don't even want to get up and go to the bathroom so I'm dancing a jig in my office right now. They'd better get it togther! :p

Conference is up. Is there a live link?

"When CL is arrested, and he will be, there will be a huge release from this (Brown) office."

Now they have a public affairs person, FINALLY, and probably because Brown keeps blowing it. He's talking about his stress and fatigue level now. :( SHUT UP SHUT UP about yourself. He sounds nice, but needs to be more professional.

Which now tells me,

1. They really really thought they had gotten away with it.
2. That yes, Laurean and Christina, who is a former marine and has contacts and friends in the military too, hindered the military's rape investigation along with harassing Maria. I mean, how did others know in order to harass her, it's not made everyones business. These two were behind the harassment.

3. After the sheriff got involved, who I like, they had to re-plan and again start staging.

Brown saying he hasn't lied or misled anyone. ML probably murdered 12/15, 4 days before the missing person case was brought to their attention. Nothing his office could have done could have prevented the death of ML. Saying goodbyes now to press, one obligation tonight at 7:30 and he's handing the torch over apparently to the public affairs person...

Ahmmm his DAUGHTER spent 25 days living in a house with painted over blood everywhere, a WEEK with Maria's CAR in her driveway, and his daughter KNEW Maria's body was IN HER BACKYARD! Whether she believed 🤬🤬🤬 about the "suicide" or not, his DAUGHTER should have called the POLICE if CL wouldn't!!! At some point his daughter was just as much a coward as CL, she sat around for almost a month and DID NOTHING. Nothing until CL was conveniently GONE. They are BOTH COWARDS, IMO - and Christina is a MOTHER who should have been more sensitive to the pain of Maria's family and the horrible way that baby was killed and the fact that he was burned and buried in her back yard like trash. Even if his daughter was unable to work up any sympathy for Maria, one would think she would feel something for an innocent almost full term baby - little Gabriel was an innocent in ALL of this.

My Opinion
