Yes, he said she left a note that stated that she could not take marine life anymore so she was leaving. Also stated that on November 5th when she was reinterviewed by trial councl she readjusted her statement and told them that her pregnancy was not a result of the rape. She still maintained that he raped her.

SLP, did you catch any other things addressed that I might have missed?

I think the Marines blew it and they are in CYA mode. I hope this news conference is kept up on the site for later viewing. He's giving a great timeline as far as the Marines are concerned....

I agree, they are trying to CYA. Did I hear correctly on the news conferance that she told military that CL was not the father. When did Military found out she was pregnant

Oh! she withdrew that he was the father in November after all the harassment

ACK! Not having the news conference is messing with me. JDB which note are you referring to? The note he wrote his wife or the note Maria left claiming she couldn't handle the situation.

I understand her being under a lot of stress, but leaving ... uh no way ... she was expecting a baby and had all her medical care taken care of through the Marines. No way would she leave!

The note he wrote!!!! BAck in corner LAffin

Is that how she came to be at his house? She was dropping the note off as a final - leave me alone, I'm going away, it's not yours (as a way to get him to leave her alone) etc? But since the rape was still there - well maybe what's happened is a result?

Not saying she did just a "what if?" Explains her car being there...not sure how everything falls into place yet though :waitasec:

That is why they had to bring Durham back from Calif. last thrusday to verify things I bet.

At one point in time, she told the prosecutor that she no longer believed that the pregnancy was a result of the 2 incidents she reported that happened 3/26 and 4/11. She told the prosecutor that 11/5/07.

At work :behindbar
Rapes reported on 3.26 and 4.11. Lauterbach told military during last questioning that she didn't think the pregnancy had anything to do with two? reported rapes.

Still insisting that Laurean raped her.

Don't know if this is new, but first I heard, there were 2 sexual assaults: March 26 and April 11

Ooh, this one female reporter is showing her anger. NCIS blah blah blah.

Maybe, she went over to Laurean's house to say "goodbye." Tey are saying that it was she who wrote the note that was left at her house.
