I hope that they investigate if Maria may have been forced to write a farewell note. It all seems way too coincidental.

Thanks Jinx!!

Wish we had a thread just for that kind of information to be posted when necessary. With all the lurkers, who knows if they have seen him or whom to call, and not just for Lorean, but for other wanted people.

JDB:

It was very carefully said:

It appeared to be her handwriting.

March sex was not criminal in nature. In April sexual contact was not coerced or forced. She asked him to stop. Then, he did. She complained of a rape although it sounds like neither was a rape. :waitasec:

I can see how Laurean and wife would be upset by accusation if it really wasn't rape. However, I can't see it amounting to any kind of conviction. Why would he murder her???

NCIS was then treating both incidences as rape. Going to possibly use the DNA as evidence for rape cases.

I think that infidelity is against the rules in the military, probably even grounds for discharge.

We're trying to, golfmom!

Note was left at Durham's residence still has to be analyzed.

Dear Lord, did they take that note at face value? Is that, combined with the holidays why Maria's disappearance languished?

Consensual contact between maria and laurean is being stated did occur between the two on several occassions. At a point in time, she claimed he sexually assaulted her. Sooooooooooo, yes xtina even has more reasons to want her dead. Her husband is having an affair, then in this affair he forces maria, and now things go topsy turvy.

Wow, alot of happened concerning this case. great presser.

Wow, we need a forum, I don't see any mods on, and with the forum acting up, I don't know if we'll get one. I did send a pm to christine asking for one.

With this information, maria may have voluntarily gone to the marital home.

After you stated that - I went back and edited - copied/pasted the release in full. Has all the details about him for the most part - in case there are people who "may have" seen him. Maye it will help them decide more one way or the other.

I want to add though - if someone even THINKS they have seen him, no matter how remotely, please report it - that's what LE is there for, to weed through what is plausible and what is not - What one thinks may be "unimportant" could actually be the biggest break. One only has to look at Meredith to see how the smallest details can pull something together.

I missed this last part but they are going over the April (2nd) incident. Sexual activity on base at work, no regret, no coercion, no blackmailing, she asked him to stop, he stopped.... This is per her interview. The intent by the commander was always to pursue an Art. 32 investigation where both are present and represented by counsel. Commander was very concerned. First one might not have been a rape incident either.

It does sound like she was changing her mind a lot about what she reported.

DNA from the child would have been taken to help with the investigation.

Not characterized as consensual sex. She characterized them as rape.

Rapes reported on 3.26 and 4.11. Lauterbach told military during last questioning that she didn't think the pregnancy had anything to do with two? reported rapes.

Still insisting that Laurean raped her.

Does that jive with her due date? I remember something about having to calculate 40 weeks . . .

Why did the warrant mention kidnapping then though is what I can't figure out? Were they just looking for evidence that one took place maybe?

Tm Then they are not sure who wrote it yet correct

Earlier they said it looked basically like her writing, but they said later it will be sent to the lab.

What if she just wrote this and didn't end up sending it? I've written out things that I tore up later....

This guy speaking is an idiot!! Saying that because Maria left a note, she left on her own accord, own free will. WHAT IF SHE WERE FORCED TO WRITE THE NOTE??!!! WHAT IF SOMEONE WERE THERE FORCING HER TO WITHDRAW THE MONEY??

  • #475
okay guys, whether it was rape or consensual is not the point here.

Why??? Because Maria was MURDERED along with Gabriel.

Don't lose focus on that.

By the simple fact that Cesar has run off, speaks volumes of his guilt on the murder only. The rape or lack of rape is inconsequential now.

But why would she go AWOL and risk losing her medical benefits this close to delivery?????? It just doesn't make any sense to me!

Nor to me- lately I'm thinking she was kidnapped!

The more I think about it, the less I think that Maria went to the house of Mr. and Mrs. 🤬🤬🤬 willingly.

We tried out several theories of how she could have been lured there, but somehow none of them ring true after the Hell she had been put through not only by the rapist but by all his buddies. No, it doesn't make sense that she would be so naive as to go there.

So- I'm thinking perhaps she was kidnapped by 🤬🤬🤬 and an accomplice (either Mrs.🤬🤬🤬 or someoneelse) as she was leaving the base and taken at gunpoint (in her car) to that house where she was killed.
Thus, her car being at the house.

I'm thinking that not only is Mrs. 🤬🤬🤬 totally a conspirator, but they probably had other help too.

I hope all guests at the BBQ party have been questioned as to what they observed that day!

She did w/d $700 which to them was indicative that she wanted to leave.

Interesting to compare to her mother's initial statement that she was raped, but her career was being threatened.

She could have back peddled on the rape allegation because she was AFRAID.

How do you know the wife gave the decription? He drove it on the base all the time. The base knew what it looked like.

Good point I guess I just assummed that the police would ask her for a discription of her husbands vehicle when she brought them the letter.
