Does that jive with her due date? I remember something about having to calculate 40 weeks . . .

Clinic calcuated conception date of May 14 per presser.

  • #482
Conception date was in May, one month after the April incident?

I'm watching the news confrence online & ughhh I swear Marines are so dumb.. umm errr we thought ummm ugh errr we thought ummm errrrr...

Yeah, and this idiot is a colonel who is saying that because the note was in her writing, they are assuming that she left of her own accord. After all, she also withdrew $700.

Think outside of the box, Colonel Klink! Someone could have been there forcing her to go through the motions to make it look like she wanted to disappear of her own accord...

After all, she was very pregnant and not too well.

Thanks for the editing, etc. on the tip line information. You are absolutely correct that no MINOR detail is unimportant. It could be MAJOR to the LE.

  • #485
Wife is an active duty Marine.

  • #486
She did w/d $700 which to them was indicative that she wanted to leave.

WOW, they just took everything at face value didn't they?

  • #487
But they are providing alot more info than I would expect

  • #488
golfmom, that's why I feel so sorry for this young, pregnant, single and alone 20 yr old who probably didn't know what to do, where to go.... :(

Well my hubby is Army so I have heard many many jokes about marines which I won't say here but I will say this..Marines are not known for their brains!

Where did the $700 come from? I thought it was $400. Did I miss the Colonel saying that amount?? Or is $400.00 the balance in the account today?

Thanks for reading LD!:blowkiss:

Does anyone have a copy they can send me Or a link to a copy of the pic of him in Regular clothing? I'd like to have that next to the picture of him in Uniform...IMO he looks way different.

Earlier they said it looked basically like her writing, but they said later it will be sent to the lab.

What if she just wrote this and didn't end up sending it? I've written out things that I tore up later....

SO have I. Did they say when the note was written or when Durham found it?

Sounds like they still are...or they are using it as their excuse...They are infuriating. THey are really idiots. I can't stand this guy. I can tell that he is a real idiot. They really need someone from Public Affairs speaking.

The one thing I thought was unusual, was the NCIS guy standing up for Sheriff Brown.

However it speaks volume that he is either well thought of or they realized he was doing the best he could with the information he had at that time. (Sheriff, that is).

I am not a man-hater by any means, but I do think this case boils down to a bunch of male investigators thinking she was pregnant and hormonal and probably ran away because "that's how women are."

I don't think that way, of course, but I think the male investigators screwed up big time because of they way many men think. I think I heard one woman's name from NCIS, but I'd be interested in knowing if Maria was allowed to work with any females in charge of the rape allegations. It doesn't sound like it.

I thought he was in CA, so when did he find it?

Littledeer, the guy said $700. I thought I missed something so that's what I wrote! Keep transcribing, I'm just catching things here and there.

I think we are ordering pizza tonight. Dang news conferences.

Durham found note on 12/14. Supposedly called Maria's sister. ?

  • #498
On Dec. 20th, Durham notified to being shipped out 12/27.

My understanding is that Maria's roommate called her sister, talked to her mother and reported to someone on base that he thought she left ... what else was he supposed to do ... dress in drag and do the hula? Wish someone had listened to him on day one.
