I don't believe all of the scenerios the military is putting out either. The note, the texas ticket, maria being the one to purchase and write these, I'm not convinced. I need corroborating eye witness accounts that are neutral[/B].

That is exactly how I feel. The info we've gotten is according to who? The same people who harassed and slugged a pregnant woman?

I agree with you Kool Look . There is so much information, so many details, timelines, theories, etc. it is mind- boggling. I keep trying to wrap my mind around so much and it is so exhausting. But we must not stop trying to get to the bottom of all this. For Maria's and Gabriel's sake. They cannot talk but we can and must do it for them.

well, how i understand it, Durham found Maria's note the evening/afternoon of the 14th...the ticket was purchased, apparently by Maria, the next day.. (i know of no time mentioned)....the bus was to depart later that evening on the 15th....

If Christina is so innocent in all of this why isn't she on the news holding a press conference kinda like the one girl did who was having an affair with Scott Peterson? Can't think of her name... Anyway if was my husband I would be on the news begging him to do the right thing and turn himself in and blasting to the roof tops my innocence in all of this. I would be devestated that I was married to a murderer and had a child by him...

Absolutely, Mygirl sadie ! You are thinking of Amber Frey. She made sure that everyone saw her face and listened to her statement that she had no idea that Peterson was married. SHe had no idea that Laci was his wife and had been murdered til she saw the news reports on tv. She cooperated with authorities and taped her conversations with him in order to prosecute him. Thank God for Amber.

If Xtina is so innocent in all this, why isn't she showing her face on national tv, begging to give himself up ? Why isn't she making it clear as the blue sky that she had no involvement in Maria's murder ? Why is she hiding ? Why did her mother refuse to make any comment when she was interviewed ? Why did her dad seem to be lying and making things up on said news report ?

Why ? Because she is guilty of helping kill her and / or clean up the crime scene and bury-burn Maria and Gabriel. That is why she won't show her face anywhere. She is afraid we will see the truth in her eyes. Nancy Grace would have her on her knees sobbing out the truth in a matter of minutes !

Here in Costa Rica there is a saying in Spanish, " El que calla otorga " that means " one who is silent admits his/ her guilt " I think that is the case with Christina. She is silent, because she KNOWS her part in all this. And she is afraid. Very afraid now that she is alone and cannot escape to where is.

I'm going to post, but I'm just really in a funk about this. The more I read, the angrier I get.

I've liked and trusted Durham, but now I'm questioning something he's done. He comes home reads the note, text's maria's sister, talks with mom and immediately text's the unit to inform them she's UA.

What in the world did sissy pooh and mommie dearest tell Durham for his next immediate reaction is to call her unit and report her. I feel like he was motivated due to the conversation content of these two family members.

No, he didn't call inquiring or quizative, or to report her missing, no UA. This note, if she was so organized and detailed oriented to leave him this courtesy note, take her things, surely she would have left him his own house key. Why, why didn't he phone maria on her cell phone?

That seems the most logical thing to do, attempt to contact her. I bet my supper tonight he did call maria's cell phone, something weird happened, or he couldn't get an answer and it's not been reported and the military knows about it. Why would he not attempt to call her directly than call her own family to talk about her, he didn't. Another detail conveniently left out of the military timeline along with all cell phone and computer activities and records.

I'm thinking about starting a thread about " What's missing, the elephant's in the Room"!

You know I think he did everything humanly possible at that point to draw attention to the fact that she was gone. He had no reason to suspect it was anything other than voluntarily leaving, and yet he still went to the effort of contacting her sister, mother and alerting someone on base. What more could he have done?

Because it's supposedly an investigation? According to them she was UA, would they not have started to hunt her down? It's one of the best evidence tools known these days. Forensics. I want to see a copy of maria's, laureans, and xtina's cell phone records. I want to know who the investigators for the onslow sheriff's dept. talked to when they continually were denied information and return call backs. This military person should be fired. But then again, that person may already be on the run for it's already been verified maria and laureans unit were the actual phone call recipients of the investigators.

Well, according to their timeline, they did everything they could to investigate their facts of the timeline. They've got every procedural investigative technique used in covering and trying to push their theory of her being gone. Why would they not be interested or check her cell phone?

It seems to me they would have at least tried to verify this with maria herself. Her personnel records should reflect her contact information, which is her cell phone. Why wouldn't they have tried to contact her to verify this incoming information concerning her? They should have.

She was at work, left on good terms, had at least two to three incidients reported waiting to be tried, had cooperated fully with those, had always communicated properly with her superiors even asking to move off base. I mean after all, they did call her solid. I take solid to mean steadfast, reliable, responsible and dependable with integrity to honor and follow their own words.

One thing that is confusing is that a man named "Durham" was renting a house to her, but Durham is also a city in North Carolina near where Laurean's truck was found. I just wanted to clear that up because I was getting confused also.

I agree - he called her mother! I'm sure he was as shocked as we are that her mother hadn't spoken to her in two weeks. How many of us went that long without talking to our mothers when we were 8 months pregnant? This girl's life was extremely dysfunctional and she seems to have been on her own with all her problems.

Of course, the military thought it was so significant that Larean denied raping her. :furious: Um, isn't that what most men say when accused of raping someone? Do they mean for us to believe the military has never heard that before? omg
