Missing cell phones

Wait a second:

When MW states: "I received a phone call, well my phone did, the night that baby Lisa went missing," Megan Wright said. "It was apparently a 50 second phone call. I don't know who answered it or what was said or who was on the other end of the phone."

Could she mean that she doesn`t know who called the caller back? Did someone return the phone call to the sender?

Clear as mud. The owner/holder of the phone does not make a call because there is no service to the possibly broken phone dialed to a person's phone who did not hear, answer, know who called or what was said. No wonder it's a bit difficult to untangle.

:phone: + :shush: -----> :phone: + :silenced: = :dunno:

Essentially, all knowledge of the call ever having been placed or received is denied by both parties. Doesn't sound like innocence on either end of the line to me.

Do we know for sure that MW's phone was a cell phone? COuld it have been a land line in her name and she has roommates?

TOS says that we can't ask for people to PM us about things. I'm not a mod, but thought I'd let you know since I don't see a mod in here right now.

Police questioned her four times about it?

No, I mean do we know, for a fact, the time of this particular call. Is it possible this wasn't the only call that night/morning? That there was another call or ping at 2:30? KWIM?

The 2:38am call is the only one that has been addressed in the media, therefore it's believed this is the mysterious phone call. Anything else earlier in the evening, such as before 10:30pm, would seem unimportant.

MOO

Anything prior to 10:30 I would think unimportant, yes. But only because that is supposedly when the neighbor left. Any call that was made after 10:30 that night would be of interest to LE, I would think, since this would show DB didn't go to bed when she said she did.

I'm just wondering if we're assuming too much about this phone call to MW.

I would think that since none of those phones are supposed to have the ability for outgoing calls (broken/restricted service/no service) that any calls made on those phones would be significant. MOO

*nods* That too.

I thought the one phone from JI's dad? worked. Am I wrong?

It`s definitely a phone call to MW and not a text, right? Some phone plans are text only. She seems like a text-only person but that`s MOO.

The one phone from DB's dad worked but did not have service or was restricted.

MW stated that LE told her it was a 50 second phone call.

ITA. And, since we so far have no direct statement that anyone other than Debbi and Jeremy actually saw Lisa on Monday, I think all communication that day is important.

This was my question, is a cell phone assumed because everyone has one, more or less? Or is it known this call went to a cell phone?

I wonder if MW's ex-boyfriend is tall and slim and bald?

The way I understood it. Her father had gotten a new phone and offered her his old one to her when she mentioned her phone was broke. I would assume he had already transferred service from his old phone to his new one.

So I think the phone from her father was workable but only once DB had it activated under her plan whatever that was. If it was a sim card type phone from the same carrier all she would have to do is change the sim card from her broke phone into it. If it was not a sim card type phone she would have to call her provider.

Of course it gets more complicated if her father's old phone was from a different provider that DB's was. For example I bought a brand new phone but not from my provider. First it had to be "unlocked" which the company I bought it from did. I then had to put my sim card in it and go to my provider's web site and download some software to my new phone. Sounds complicated but I think companies do that on purpose to discourage people from getting phones from anyone but them.

And lastly I would think that DB would have to pay her bill in order to make outgoing calls.

I wonder if we'll see MW on a few morning shows next week. If it doesn't jeopardize the investigation, I sure hope so. I'd like to see her asked directly by a real interviewer:

1. Do you know anybody connected to the family or the neighbors of Lisa Irwin?
2. Did the call you received come to a cell phone or land line?
3. What do you mean by "you don't know who answered it" - explain? Who else could have answered it?
4. What was the time of the call, according to what you were told? Where were you at that time?
5. Does the ex-boyfriend with whom you went through the neighborhood know anyone connected to the family or friends of Debbi Bradley or Jeremy Irwin?
6. Do you know who took Lisa Irwin out of the house?

I really wonder if MW was given a LDT since she was questioned 4 times.

I have seen nothing where she states whether or not it was a cell phone, I think everyone is just assuming it is.

If anyone has link saying it was actually a cell I think many of us would be very thankful.

MW refers to it twice as a "call" ~ never mentions a text. She doesn't specify cell or land line:

MW states: "I received a phone call, well my phone did, the night that baby Lisa went missing," Megan Wright said. "It was apparently a 50 second phone call. I don't know who answered it or what was said or who was on the other end of the phone."

But who knows how truthful anyone is in this complicated tale? Or what their motives might be?
