Trying to make sense of MW's nonsense....ok, someone made a call to HER phone from one of the missing phones from the Irwin house, I'm still not clear WHEN this call was made but I'm guessing it was the night in question. Now I'm also guessing that it didn't go to voicemail otherwise there would still BE a voicemail or record of a voicemail for LE to access and there'd be no reason for MW to say she doesn't know who answered her phone because obviously vm answered it - ta da. The 50 seconds suggests to me not a misdial or pocket dial but that whoever had possession of the phone actually dialed that number or misdialled another number close to it. Since 50 seconds also seems to me a long time to establish a wrong number I don't think it was a wrong number - so for 50 second the person who dialled the number had a conversation with whoever answered the phone. As to who that was well, unless MW lives in a household with dozens of people and generally leaves her phone lying around so any of those dozens of people might pick it up and answer it, the field of possible people who took that call must be pretty narrow and, to me, it's logical to assume that the person who called that number would be expecting to talk to MW herself not some random housemate otherwise they'd call the random housemate's phone wouldn't they? I think MW took the call from someone she knew - be that someone in the Irwin household OR someone who had been in the Irwin house and taken their phones I don't know.....which can be added to the long list of things I don't know.
OK, I just previewed my post and even I can't follow my own reasoning, it's as clear as mud - if anyone else can make sense of what I'm thinking please do me the kindness of explaining while I get some more coffee.
