Missouri - Coronavirus COVID-19

My bad....the downtick reference was with regards to people taking NOT taking it seriously here (Wichita) any longer when our numbers, as well as the rest of the country and world, seem to be exploding. Everyone here now knows someone who has tested positive - this is recent in only the past few weeks. It is absolutely insane to me that I see more people NOT wearing masks more recently than in the previous months. SMDarnH!!!!! I also wear a mask where ever I go, which is very few places also. I even wear a mask in my "closed door" office.
I thought that stood for Wichita. You had me wondering though since this is the Missouri thread. I am originally from Missouri transplanted to Kansas. So a Missouri girl at heart! I live in Leavenworth County which is up there in numbers. Partly because of Lansing prison though. Our town quit posting how many are here.

@Jewels53 - My hubby is from Missouri (small town in the central NE) and we were visiting often, but not since the pandemic. I am a "mutt"....born in New Jersey, raised in Miami, very brief stint in South Carolina and now in Wichita for many years....I am doing my best to keep apprised of a lot of places, but Kansas, Missouri, South Florida (where my immediate family all still lives) and New Jersey is branded in my heart, during this time!

ETA: Don't know many Missouri girls but you sure are a gem LOL!

I am glad you are seeing a downtick of cases of ICT area. Now where is the ICT area. KC and metro are not taking it serious as there is an increase in cases. Of course some of those metro area's are on the Kansas side along with some counties on the Missouri side. I think it is more people just are willing to take that risk.

I wear a mask where ever I go which is very few places.

One odd thing that I have noticed is that sometimes the folks that have the most risk factors for Covid-19 morbidity are the least concerned.

My Missouri friend is a good example.
