JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri topped more than 400,000 coronavirus cases on Sunday, the number of hospitalizations across the state remains high, and the 7-day rolling average for new cases has increased for the last handful of days.
According to the
Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the state has recorded 401,761 cumulative cases of SARS-CoV-2—an increase of 399,456 positive cases—and 5,562 total deaths as of Sunday, Jan. 3, up 19 from yesterday. That’s a case-fatality rate of 1.38 percent.
