And IMO it doesn't have to make sense to others. What's tiny for one could be huge for another.

I don’t Janelle killed them but I feel like she knew something was wrong and certainly has more knowledge of what happened.

The phone call I think was a warning and Mike and Janelle lied about what was said imo

Do we know if the dresser that Sherrill was working on was in the apartment already or was it something that was new? I am just wondering if it was new, could she possibly have knocked it off while she was trying to get it in the house earlier in the day? Also, it could be possible that the door was closed hard and it knocked the light off. If the girls did make it to the house, the door may have been one that was rather easy to close and since Stacy wouldn't have been aware of that (since she hadn't been to the Streeter house), accidently slammed the door causing it to fall and break. Suzie maybe left a note for Sherrill for the next day if she was already sleeping (before they disappeared) letting her know about the accident and to watch for the glass since they were leaving early for the waterpark.

Good theories on the dresser and Stacy possibly slamming the door by mistake....however, I'm going to respectfully rule out the note from Suzie. I have read before that LE wished the glass hadn't been swept up so they could get a better idea how it came to be broken....a clear note from Suzie telling Sherrill how it broke would have eliminated all the speculation of the role it played in the crime, just my opinion.

On the subject of the porch light, and since Mike and Janelle have been a hot topic lately....I wonder, what's the possibility that the light bulb was also broken along with the globe, and maybe the bulb was replaced at the time the glass was swept up? Obviously, a generic bulb could have been found in the house, brought from somewhere else, or purchased at the store....the globe would have been a little less readily available. Would this scenerio fit any particular agenda? So many details of the case, and sadly, nobody knows which ones relate to the disappearance and which ones are irrelevant.

I am watching crime watch daily and for the people who have been following this case for years is Kathy Baird just a attention seeker?

How can you go on national tv and refuse to talk and then claim it’s due to threats. If she isn’t a attention seeker and really did receive threats then it would indicate that this was a local crime and not a Robert Cox as he can’t make threats from where he is.

Teen girls can be vicious esp when it concerns boys. Teens can commit murder.
This can be solved.
We ran through all the "suspects" to include random serial killers...hasn't done it.
IMO none of the 'suspects' committed this crime.

Like the old saying...."A Grand Jury can indict a ham sandwich if that's what you wanted."

And GJ could not get enough on anyone to indict. Start over. Follow the, MOO, 'blatant' clues.

Drug dealers aren’t “big time” because they trust teenagers. Middle people-with access to teenagers-suffer the consequences if someone sings.
I don’t think it was planned. I think the people responsible got lucky and things fell into place. It sticks out and makes me feel less paranoid that the detective thought Janelle’s wet shorts were worth mentioning. He sensed something was off and might’ve pursued it before the van, parking garage, biker gang and serial killer theories.

if that light cover had of been broken innocently by either sherrill or suzie no question they would have cleaned up the broken glass mess.
nobody would leave a dangerous environment like that.
the note must be pertaining to a different light and as we know the porch light actually worked. it wasn't unworkable. simply the cosmetic cover was shattered all over the front porch.

which brings it back to not only was it very inappropriate for mike and Janelle to clean it up, THEY REMOVED THE EVIDENCE FROM THE CRIMESCENE?????

why would you do this????????????

The police could not confirm the men’s alibis, but also could not find any evidence connecting either of them to the crime directly. Both men were ruled out as suspects, and both deny having anything to do with the disappearance of the women.

why??
how in the world can you rule out suspects if they can not confirm an alibi?

the strategic bag placement is clearly staging.
its to appear like someone has broken in, rammaged through the bags and kidnapped the girls after arousing them from their sleep.
but a burglar or drug debt pay back etc what ever would have taken cash and whatever other valuables at hand.....but they didn't.
just appears like they have been through the bags

a stranger would have no problem stealing the cash to support the staging.
a closer to home connection staging a crime scene might likely find it unconscionable to do so.

I always find this statement intriguing as why would he wish Stacey dead , what on earth had she ever done?!

I always thought Stacey was in the wrong place at the wrong time but his statement makes you wonder.

Typically, yes they would. But if the girls came in late and had been drinking, they may have not been thinking very clearly and just wanted to get to bed and left a note so that Sherrill was aware of it since she was possibly sleeping. Just a thought.

Also, It looks like there are neighbors close by and I would think that a glass bulb falling and shattering would make a pretty loud crashing sound. If it happened while someone was being forced out of the house, in my mind, a neighbor would have heard it, got up to investigate, and called police as someone is being forced into a van. On the other hand, if the house was being staged, a neighbor got up to investigate and saw someone outside the house who looked comfortable enough to go in, they would have thought nothing of it and went back to bed. I know there is no way to tell what really happened or in what order events took place but these are just some thoughts on what I think could be possibilities.

The actual lightbulb was still working. The only part that broke was the decorative bulb that covers the light bulb.
