I disagree with this premise entirely.
I do not believe a crime like this is simple nor is it executed this precisely without planning for the variance of risks.
1. It wasn't random (IMO)
2. I don't assume the motive is sexual
Didn’t LE state it was more than likely a sexual motivated attack on Sherrill?
I agree it wasn’t random and that whoever did this at least one of the victims knew who they were hence they had to be killed. But I’m trying to come up with different explanations as we really don’t know much at all.
ETA - hell I could go with Stacey even knowing who the guilty people were who did this as you could of easily of tied her up and gagged her and left her behind. If this wasn’t about her then no need to take her if you she didn’t know anything.
