According to the case file Joe also stayed there and sometimes Dusty.
Case files show Cathe living at 2624 W Village Ln Springfield MO and then Ocala Florida in 1991 then a gap then 816 S Newton Ave. Springfield MO Was this apartment what they had in that gap?

So what we need to know is where Joe also lived or stayed when he visited/lived in Springfield.

So why is it listed as Joe's apartment in his own personal file on Case Net? Case # 31392CF0829

Even weirder!

Most likely because he did not have a residence there, just a place to crash. It was Cathee and Mike’s apartment.

Could you ask Mike or Cathe how often Joe stayed?

Where did Joe stay when he wasn't there? And I don't mean one night stands...how big was his friend group in Springfield? Did he have friends beyond Mike? Mike, and correct me if I'm wrong, once said that Joe's only reason for coming to Springfield was Mike--so I am just wondering if he broadened his friend group or worked somewhere or something in this short time.

I wonder if Dusty crashing was a common occurrence. And how crowded this apartment could get...

Mike returned two weeks after that. Joe did not.
Ok, Just so I'm understanding this right. Mike was in Springfield on June 6th, 1992. Is that what you mean by that. Sorry, just making sure I'm understanding it right.

So does Mike have an angle on what he thinks happened that night? I know he has said in the past that he has a couple theories, but I never saw where he had shared them? And what do you both think about the 1st people who went to the house that day and cleaned up the glass, as well as the other things they did that day? Just curious how you both feel about that. If it seems suspicious or strange to you, or if he had heard anyone talking about that issue back in the day.

Why doe it matter where Joe lived? Just curious what you're getting at?

Regarding the only person who failed the polygraph test,
I would love to know what led the police to test this specific person, what information the police had about him that made them ask him to make the test?
Did he have any connection to Suzie or Sherrill? why this specific person?
I'd love to know who it was that failed the polygraph??? I've never seen anywhere where they've said who it was? Do you know???

Trying to get an idea of who he was around when not around Mike or Dusty. He is a suspect in this case according to SPD in 1992.

I find it curious that a document would have information regarding the Springfield 3 in a separate case file regarding the Maple Park incident. It almost seems like the alibi was "constructed" and I don't see that often when investigating case files.

Also what illness did his mom have? Isn't she still alive and healthy today? Curious if that was the real reason that made go back to IL. Also curious why Mike came back but Joe had to stay? (Though we don't know for a fact if he came back and returned or not).

And was it common for Mike and Dusty to crash together? Were other friends with them? I have a reason for asking this.

Last but not least, Joe testified against Mike. Dusty did as well. Why did Mike forgive Dusty and not Joe?

Just thinking out loud of course. Thanks Michelle for the info. If you have a way of sharing the police document, that would be extremely helpful. I understand if not.
Interesting Question and Point?

I think it's to find out where he was and if he had a regular address. Nailing down a timeline for that night and people that have been POI help clear up things.

How angry were Michael and Dusty when Suzie grassed them up?

I mean Michael Clay made a very damning comment when he was being questioned so does he still believe that Suzie and Sherill got what they deserved?

Also did Suzie have any known enemy’s that Mike or Dusty or Joe knew about?

Teenagers say things that are awul to police, parents and each other. I wouldn't want to be judged on stuff I said as a teen.

Very true. I do not think Mike's statement means much one way or another. Cops can be jerks. Allen Neal even said in Disappeared that Mike had a disagreement with the officer who questioned him and that he was provoked.

I think it's something that TV shows like to talk about for the sensationalism. Means little to this case. IMO

The stuff I said to my mom when she tried waking me up for school was at least as bad if not worse. I could curse in my sleep lol. I still have a problem with police at times. When you are young you don't realize how serious missing people are, because as a teen you are usually a little self centered.

Considering nobody has been caught I don’t think anything can be ruled out.

He was 19 and if he was too stupid to comprehend that 3 women were missing and more than likely dead at this stage that his comment how ever angry he was sick. But then he robbed off the dead so I guess compassion was not a personality trait he processed.

If he said it now it would be messed up. They weren't missing that long at the time and he was an 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 about it. It possibly wasn't something he thought was serious at the time.

3 woman vanishing not serious?

It was obviously very serious and only a idiot wouldn’t of thought that.

A mother, daughter and a friend that were not that close going missing is only going to end one way 99% of the time.

I wish I knew who was it , if we knew who was the only person who failed polygraph then we could find out who are or were his acquaintances , if he was a criminal or a part of a gang, maybe he is the key which can bring closer the day
when this case will be solved . I am sure the police saw him as a suspect back then , and maybe even today!

The police never released his name probably in order not to harm the investigation, but after 26 years without a solution maybe it is time to change strategy, the release of his name might cause someone who knows him to talk or give important information

This is what Mike said

W. Village Ln was my parents house.

Joe and I moved into Cathe’s apartment when we came down from Chicago in late 91.

Joe didn’t know anyone in Spfld when we moved there. He hung out with my friends and never really made any friends of his own. When we went back to Chicago in March of 92, the cops that were looking for me made sure all of our friends knew that he ratted on me. When I found that out, I told our friends in Chicago that he was a rat and left him there.
He had no friends to stay with in Spfld. and no reason to come back after we left. Everyone in Spfld who knew him, hated him.
