His results are in the case file and he did pass.
Why then was Greene County circuit judge David Anderson considering a 3-year prison sentence for him, and it gets dropped to probation? How did he have that much leverage in a situation where he testified that he threw the rock to break in?

Something isn't adding up. Joe is off the hook but Mike does time? Dusty, I get, he was basically just standing around or whatever--he got some shock sentencing, but why does Joe get nothing and Mike had to serve? That isn't making any sense.

Joe broke open the coffin and took out teeth. Why no jail time? Even if he snitched, there should be jail time and there wasn't. So odd.

He got less than Dusty! Dusty stood outside and the judge made an example of him and made him do a month or two in prison. Joe gets probation?? What?? They said the tiny amount of time he served before bail "was enough" yet less than what Mike got? Hmm. If I'm Mike, I'm PISSED at that.

I will ask Mike.

Going to wait until Mike is home to ask. If he sees and text me I’ll pass it on, but I know he is busy at work and have been texting him about it a lot the last couple days. Want to text him happy things for a bit. What I do know though is Joe said when he was not with Mike and Dusty he slept. That is what he told the police. The only place he list for work is in IL when he went back.

Yeah surely he didn't just sleep on the couch all day. He was getting LSD from someone. He was getting weed from someone. He must have had some money. And what was his interest for coming to Springfield anyways?

thanks for your help Michelle

That is why he had nothing to do with him again. We have no idea why it happened like it did.

The person could of gotten there later. Many scenarios with that situation are possible. Not saying the girls weren’t the target. Just never has made sense to me.

But you said Sherill talked about Suzie and graduation parties to possible clients so why would a sexual predator decide to attack at gone 3am when Sherill was home alone for multiple hours alone.

Suzie didn’t go to a party at midnight she left about 7/8pm so Sherill had the house to herself for about 7 hours and yet the kidnapping only happened when the girls were home. That would point to the young girls being the target.

From the people who spoke about Sherill she had no enemies and was a saint and that leaves Suzie who obviously had some enemies.

I have always thought that there was some connection to the 3 GRs and the Suzie testimony. Maybe not face value, but from the peripheral players. That's why I am interested in exactly what Joe and Dusty's alibis were. It's not that they all three are guilty, but all three should not be treated equal. Need to hammer down the backgrounds of each individually.

Like Michelle said with Troogrit, I share his take that maybe Mike could have been introduced to someone without knowing. GGMC guys were not to be messed with. Mike had some connection to that world with Garrison and the AH's dad. I wonder if Joe or Dusty hung with any of them as well?

It's apparent Suzie kept Dusty and his friends away from Nigel and her group and again away from Stacy/Janelle crowd. That wedge was for a reason--and it goes beyond those groups not mixing socially. IMO of course......

Like BlueGirl said, these had to be professional criminals. That's why Garrison and the GJ3 were looked at to begin with. The path to the perps are in that direction. Again, MOO.

Here is a timeline direct from the police file.

On 03-02-92 the police get a crime stoppers phone call about Maple Park Mausoleum vandalism.

On 03-02-92 the police were contacted by the Gold Exchange that a sale of gold teeth happened and received Dusty’s information because they had his drivers license info on the receipt.

On 03-04-92 the police go to the address listed on receipt to talk to Dusty. They bring him in for questioning and he writes his statement.

On 03-05-92 they contact Joe and bring him in where he writes his statement.

Later that day on 03-05-92 the police go to Dusty’s work and arrest him. His girlfriend Suzanne Streeter was with him and they asked her how long she knew Dusty and she responded a month and a half. They asked her if she knew about what happened and she said yes and she went in and made a statement.

Joe was released at the end of his 20 hrs and Dusty was booked into the City Jail.

The paper misprint and corrected timelines several times. It took them several times to nail down when Oliveras called Sherrill.

Hello....so you concede that newspaper reporters can 'misprint'?

Who's Michele? Is she involved with the M3W case?
Does she know any of the 'characters' in this 'play'....there is quite the long list (which is why IMO, it's not been solved).

Anyway.....just curious.

It took them awhile, as the case was unfolding in the early days to nail down Oliveras's phone call (phone records were not digitized...but I believe they got it right by day 3, someone correct me if I'm wrong).

A little different than Asher/SPD denying the results of Joe's poly results to reporters and police claiming he was in town for the disappearance.... over 4 months after the fact.

There's also newscasts from the local stations from the first month that have interesting details.

That is my first name that someone decided to put out here. Someone who obviously has watched me from more places than just here.

I thought it was common knowledge.....? Especially since you name dropped Cathe. I will edit it out of posts now.

I assure I am not "Watching" I am just investigating.

Editing your name out now.

Surely he made some friends in Springfield of his own. Where did he work? What did he do when Mike was with AH?

Mike’s answer

Joe didn’t have a job. He stole stuff and pawned it for money when he could or he mooched off of us. He had no transportation so if he wanted to go anywhere when we weren’t there, he would have had to walk. Don’t remember him ever really doing anything off on his own. If he did, I didn’t know about it.

Very helpful info. Thanks.

So are we meant to not like Joe because he had a conscience and actually admitted to what he had done wrong and helped the police?

I don’t get the hate here I seriously don’t. It actually takes balls to turn on your friends and admit you have done wrong. That’s something to be admired surely?!

It shows moral fiber!!!

Also thanks for typing up some of the police report.

Are you kidding me? Joe didn't go to police for any guilt reasons. And why did he continue to get in trouble with the law and associate with criminals since the case?

His record is out there.

He turned on them to save his own butt.

My name was only out there once and it was by Richard on another board a few years back.

I don’t get what you mean. He left, but returned only a couple weeks later. This alibi is what he was doing that night.
Did he leave town again after the abduction?
