Misty admits why she and Ron got married!

I do think MC was telling the truth about the reason for the marriage, but I'm more curious about the divorce since it seems they were still together ~ at least in drug dealing and her getting the tattoo and calling him "baby". MOO

They divorced for the same reason...to much negative baggage with misty. He dumped her to save himself. He had no intention of living w/o her though and I bet he told her that.....it was all a publicity stunt....all for ron. She does anything he asks her.

I honestly believe you're right. I sure couldn't think of anything else other than "image" and how it "looks" that he was married to the one person who "holds the key" to Haleigh's disappearance.

He would have had to register as a sex offender wouldn't he, if he was charged for relations with a minor? That probably wouldn't look good for the father of a missing child...and then the divorce, of course IMO, as Misty was shaping up to be the one to take the heat in the public eye...so he had to pretend to distance himself...

I also believe he married her to avoid the age issue....just to get it out of the way.
They are young and nieve, it's a first marriage for both, but maybe they thought of it more as breaking up......and after a few weeks they were back together??? .....baby! JMO

Ron may have at one time regretted divorcing her, but I highly doubt he regrets it now, in his mind its all Misty's fault he got caught. In his mind its all Misty's fault that all this attention has been brought on him and his family, and now he can't fly under the radar anymore and get away with anything because now LE is all on him like white on rice.

Afterward, she says there was worry Cummings would face molestation charges because she was 16 when she started seeing him and the two married but divorced soon afterward. I saw that too and posted it somewhere but I can't find which thread now. I was like d@mn that girl flirts with anybody she thinks can get her ahead. That is her currency and probably has been for a long time. Oh I think it was a tweet and not on one of these threads. If I know Kimster, tomorrow when we wake up there will be a thread called Misty's a big flirt :crazy:

Who knows but I think there might have been several people spinning several yarns at once.

A lot of us knew it but couldn't prove it until she made that statement. My guess is we have lots of other things right too. LP, keep up the minutes on the phone please, the more she talks the better....:dance:

Actually I got 2 others right, I said LP was buying the car and putting minutes on the phone to keep ma and pa chatting with the kids. The other thing I said was drug dealers don't take your kid, they come in kicking the door down and guns pulled and shooting if you don't pay up.

So Misty says the marriage was based on Ron not getting in trouble with LE about dating an underage girl.

Ron says he did it to keep his enemies closer. I guess Ron just needed to keep his "i am not afraid of the law" mentality which is why he said this?! JMO

At this point, honestly i don't care why they married, i still think the marriage was a symbol of their commitment to each other to keep their mouths quite about what happened to HaLeigh. IMO

Now I understand TN's staement regarding the marriage "this is what Haleigh would have wanted".

It probably pertains to keeping Ron out of jail. It may have nothing to do with how Haleigh felt about Misty.
