LOL The Cummings family are "masters in the art of manipulation"?! GMAB! Hahahaha~ They are about the farthest thing from that characterization as I have ever seen!

Now...if you want to talk about Crystal's family...they tried to manipulate people, but failed miserably in the concerted effort to pull off that BS about abuse on national television with the help of an attorney. I would say they are not "masters in the art of manipulation" either!

IMO, the Cummings are not trying to manipulate anyone or anything. They just want Haleigh home where she belongs and to find out the truth. They honestly believe Misty was not involved, imo. (Maybe because she wasn't involved.)

I can't seem to find anything funny with what's being discussed regarding this case.

"Maybe she wasn't involved." "I hope she wasn't" "I believe she wasn't" "That's just plain rubbish."

Those are not exactly resounding statements of support.

True but in this day and age LE are hesitant to use that term until an arrest has been made. Seems like it's been this way for a couple of years now.

According to the legal expert in the clip showing Ron's tour of the mh, LE is very hesitant to even use POI any more.

I'd have to respectfully disagree due to the inconsistent statements and their body language in interviews. IMO, the whole lot of them are trying to manipulate, but we can see right through them oke:

Maybe RC and MC aren't involved. BUT if not, they are certainly hiding something and since their daughter is missing, that's bad enough.

I am sure everyone has heard rumors that Misty had left the children to buy cigarettes and another one was she was at a party that night where a number of people saw her, but do not want to make a statement that they saw her. IF this is true, Misty must be sweating that someone will come forward & wondering if she should now beat it to the police first before someone else does. Again if true the party people will be sweating now, wondering if Misty or someone else will go to the police. A number of people could be in trouble if they have made statements they didn't see Misty and it was then proven they did. I think the pressure now is not just on Misty. If anyone saw Misty that night, they would be crazy not to report it & have possible obstruction charges put on them.

Heard about the possible party, new to me is the cig. story. If that has any truth to it seems to me the cops could tell by the cell phone record that she left the trailer. Also if she went to the store for ciggy's maybe there was video surveillance.

Also, don't forget, there are bigger things to consider: IF she left the home, she could (SHOULD!!!!!!) be charged with child endangerment (Casey sat in jail for a long time with a huge bail on that one). Ronald could (SHOULD!!!) have DFS take Jr, feeling that he provided his child an unsafe home. IF there are people who know Misty wasn't there and they've already given statements that they never saw her and now want to change their story, they are the only ones who have a prayer right now........they would most likely be given the option of testifying to what they know in exchange for no prosecution for obstruction.

When I was caring for children Ronnie Jr and HaLeigh's ages, each night before I went to sleep I gently aroused each child, lifted them to the toilet, and afterwards, took them back to bed, tucked them in, and kissed them goodnight. This is a necessary practice in a household with young children and a grey area with Misty Croslin. Justice for HaLeigh.

Elle I am thinking they didn't have video surveillance, although that could be part of the "physical evidence that contradicts her sketchy account", because I think they would have charged her with child neglect or child endangerment and let her spend some time in a cell.

It may be a good idea to go review other posts for the past six months to see if posters ever laughed during this case or other serious cases. While I am being singled out for it, I know for a fact I could find many instances where humor is injected into horrible situations we discuss on WS.

After six months, LE surely would have proof if she was out at a party or buying cigarettes, imo. The entire population of Satsuma would not be in on keeping her secret and someone would have seen her instead of only the people who may be interested in holding back that information, imo.

That's what I think too Debs, if there was a party of say 6+ people...they would each know they would be given a deal...but they must come forward...they will be wondering if so & so is going to first, etc. I think there will be a lot of pressure on anyone who saw her IMO.

I think they are grasping at straws, imo. IMO, it was probably from an anonymous tip from early in the investigation which did not pan out. As I understand it...they had close to 4,000 tips. I would think that 1 out of 4,000 of those would be able to clarify such a simple thing and give them proof she was somewhere else other than the mh, imo.
