I stick with the simplest theory till it is disproven. My thoughts were if Misty harmed Haleigh, she would call her brother before anyone else....this is an opinion and pure speculation. I am going on what I believe her personality to be.
I have not added all the peripherals to the story. I am starting with Misty may be the one that harmed Haleigh. She may not have told anyone, I just think she did. If she did, then that is where Tommy comes in. If she didn't, she could have handled it all by herself, ala, Casey.
I keep going over the "accident" theory but remind myself that people do call 911 when an accident occurs. However, accidents that center around some illegal activities are not reported. They are instead covered up.
It reminds me of the JonBenet case and my questions as to what went on in that house that the parents could not call 911 or show up in an emergency room if there was some odd circumstances surrounding an accident.
I think we should put on our thinking caps and come up with illegal going ons that night that would keep the principals from calling 911 or rushing an injured or dying child to an emergency room for care.
What comes up immediately is the presence of drugs, especially with these people who seems to center around drug use.
Secondly, perhaps there was someone present who should not have been there and the need arose to stage a kidnapping in order not to involve that particular person.
I'm still trying to come up with a third reason. But, maybe I don't need one if the first two are on the money.
As for witnesses who might have been present in the motor home when an accident occured not coming forward, especially with a large reward, I could see those present would not want to be associated with whatever happened that night if it centered around something illegal that would put them in deep trouble too.
Anyone got any other reasons to stage a kidnapping?
