Misty had a bad weekend leading up to this event. She is parting with another guy. rc and she were fighting even as late as 8:30 that evening. Haleigh disappears, Ron is marching around with Misty hugging her, smoking cigs and denying she was involved at all.

Now, I don't know about all of you but if I had just met a person about 5 months before my daughter went missing, and went missing on their watch, you can da#n well take it to the bank that I'd be suspicious. This guy, Cummings, instead of wondering if she is involved, MARRIES HER!!!

...................Jury in.......GUILTY!

Just to add a note to your quote: "if I had just met a person about 5 months before my daughter went missing"............and had just had a very bad blow-up and argued right up to 8:30 pm of the very night that my daughter became missing..................I definitely would not marry her....................

Misty did leave RC after Haleigh went missing, on 2/20/09 the family gave a press conference and stated that Misty was with her family.

Reporter asks where Misty is and Teresa states that she is with her family.
10 days after Haleigh went missing, I think that RC and others were afraid that Misty would leave Satsuma. Misty was not there she was at home, states Teresa.

Also, listen to the answer Teresa gives when the reporter asks about JR and what he saw.

Haven't seen much of Ron's sister, Crystal. Does anyone know how she and Ron got along? Has there been any additional interviews between Crystal and the media?

Maybe she'll develop a conscience and tell what she knows? I know...highly unlikely, but a girl can hope can't she?.... that's my Christmas Wish anyway...

Truthfully, I'm so disgusted and sick of these people in this case I'm going to self-impose a break before I decide to take a vacation to Florida..............I have really found out just how scuzzy and low bred these throwbacks can be. I have traveled all my life all over the country, and out of the country, lived in Florida several times in my life and still did not realize how very disgusting people could be until this case. I have not seen a single decent person in this case in all of Haleigh's little short life. I feel so bad for the little children caught up in this tragedy. Totally hopeless. They are all parasites. Living off of the working people. They will never be independent and take care of themselves. Too bad they can't all be sterilized. America does not need for these people to reproduce. I'm through...........

So the only family who are in this mess moved away from Putnam County is Chelsea and Timmy. Chelsea backed misty before in Oct/Nov 08 when she also decided to physically get involved in a fight with Amber's mother. So Chelsea was protecting misty, I assume. Is she still protecting misty?

What do they know is the question? I have gotten the impression that Chelsea and Misty are very close. She may know more than we think. To just up and run away when Tim's sister is in the battle of her life seems very odd.

Chesles may not have been totally truthful about the blue van on that night.
Why did Misty mention deer blood in the van during her interview.....made no sense at all to throw that out there. Between that and the "Rose", something stinks.

Are misty and chelsea trying to deflect from the real vehicle that was used that fateful night by offering up the scratch and brush stuck in the headlight and it was moved but no one knows how? To top it off, misty mentions blood.....deer blood..good grief!

The only conclusion i can come to Whisperer, offering up an explanation, just in case the blood is seen in the van. Ya know, kinda like when Ron offered up the "lock bumping" theory.

One would also think that if Misty is mentioning blood during a missing persons investigation, (and to me it doesn't matter if it is human or animal) there has to be a good reason.

is there any way to tell, forensically, WHEN the scratch was on the van. You may be on to something here. I would think that if a scratch on a vehicle, down to the frame, is old, not recent, there might be an indication of rust somewhere on that scratch. I wonder how well LE searched that van...i also wonder if they took the blanket into evidence, or if it was even in the van....

Actually they are the only family that moved away and were not brought back. Lisa Croslin and Hank SR tried moving to Tennessee and they were dragged back, remember Hank Sr's interview with Art Harris about trying to get the money to bail out his wife for the check charges? Same with Tommy and Lyndsy, they left too, but now they are back and will probably be in Satsuma until a judge gives them permission to leave the state, I don't think that is going to happen.

ETA...lots of opinion in my post above, I probably should have added that to avoid confusion, Mother and Father Croslin did try to move to Tennessee IIRC but I stand corrected, Hank jr and his wife never officially moved from Satsuma.

They didn't move. To my knowledge they were planing to move to Mass where Timmy and Chelsey are but Tommy was arrested right after they held that yard sale.
