Misty's actions/behaviors while dealing

Might RC's presence in some of the deals make MC appear less "knowing" in all of the deals? If there had been no videos shown involving RC in any of the deals, I wonder if more citizens would be seeing Misty as seasoned, even if she had not said or done anything differently.

RC is controlling and just plain creepy on many levels but I do not think that exonerates Misty of wrongdoing, nor does it automatically make her his slave. I think Misty is anything but meek and I think she was fully capable of saying NO. She chose to say yes.

I never said that Misty should not have any responsibility. I do think Misty should get the Youthful Offender Program.

F.S. 958 requires that enhanced program services be provided to youthful offender inmates. In response, the Extended Day Program was developed. This is a 16-hour daytime program at youthful offender institutions that is designed to provide at least 12 hours of activities. The program is structured to include work assignments, education (vocational and academic) programs, counseling, behavior modification, military style drills, systematic discipline and other programmatic opportunities that will reduce inmate idleness and enhance the young inmate's chance at becoming a law abiding citizen upon re-entry into the community.

IMO, Misty needs in the Youthful Offender Program to learn the things that every adult in her life failed to teach her.

As far as Ronald, I'm mixed on him. I think the laws regarding prescription medication are ridiculous especially when compared to illegal drugs. However, he has had chance after chance and has not learned a thing. I think in all honesty if I removed Haleigh from the situation, I would say that the years he is looking at are unfair.

However, unlike him, I cannot remove Haleigh. Haleigh does matter. If he had learned when he was given chance after chance, I would never know the name Haleigh Cummings. So although the quantity was not that large, I hold him more responsible as the father who did not care enough about his daughter or his son to put them and their needs first. So whatever he gets, he deserves.

I could not agree more! I do not want to see Misty get off without serving some time, but that time does not have to be years on end in prison. Misty needs to learn a few lessons and a few facts of life, i.e., how to survive without lying, cheating, stealing, dealing, drugging, etc. I would be all for Misty having another chance to succeed by being given only probation; however, I doubt she would succeed without some intense intervention/supervision. It would seem Misty would need a structured program that offers her a chance to learn about responsibility and how to follow rules.

As for Ron, I want him to do time--as much as they can legally give him. I hold him responsible for what happened to Haleigh and, as you said, had Ron cared enough to put the needs of his children before his own, none of us would be here discussing the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings. On the surface, it seems unfair to lump RC's drug charges in with Haleigh being missing but reality is, Ron's lifestyle of drugs and guns and snitching and weasling out of all his wrongdoing in the past is what brought harm upon his daughter, IMO. Ron, too, has a few lessons to learn about responsibility and respect for society's rules.
