The age of his victims that he went to prison for were 31, 21, 17...he recently as last month was charged with Kidnapping-1st degree, Rape-1st degree and assault by strangulation against his ex-girlfriend.

Found deceased. Jahreese Jones, Miyonna’s half-brother, and his girlfriend, Randi Johnson, are charged in connection to Miyonna’s death, WPD Chief Donny Williams said during a news conference Thursday afternoon.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - A shouting match took place as a suspect charged in connection to the death of Miyonna Jones left a New Hanover County courtroom Friday.

Judy McKnight has been charged with obstruction of justice in the case. She is the founder of Moms N Mourning, a group founded in 2015 to help mothers who have lost children to violence and illness.

McKnight is also the grandmother of Jahreese Jones, who is Miyonna’s half-brother and is charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death.

As McKnight left the courtroom after making her first appearance Friday, a confrontation took place between McKnight and multiple people in attendance. Deputies intervened to separate the two parties.

I have spent a lot of time today (I’m sick) reading up on the Paitin thread from Pender County. She was 5 years old and raped and murdered by her uncle. There were all kinds of issues back then with the current sheriff being secretive and I know they elected a new sheriff.
Can anyone from that area or in the know, comment on how things are now as far as the community feeling better about law enforcement, etc? Have all the trash bags been taken out, so to speak?
I know it’s not completely related to this case but I also think it’s quite relevant considering they’re the same county. MOO
