I hope his family is okay.
This is bizarre.
If his adult children are not living at home, I hope they have strong support systems. Apparently he has 4 daughters and a son.

Humans - from many walks of life, work, and religious backgrounds can be cruel and hypocritical … JMO.
Well said.

The roommate tells FOX 9 he has known Boelter for more than 40 years, since the fourth grade and didn't express a lot of strong political views. He did, however, have strong views on abortion. Authorities also found receipts for items used in Saturday morning's shootings in one of his vehicles at the Minneapolis home.

Almost looks like he's wearing engineering coveralls. My Navy son wears them on the ship.
Maybe wearing them over the beige pants?
IMO.

Stupid looking with that hat and bright blue shirt, is his aim to get attention?
His pants were lighter in another photo with the coat
Yes looks like he either covered his pants and took off the coat or something simiar
But- the dumb hat

Very strange
IMO

Here’s another picture, no jacket.

In this picture, I think he is still wearing the dark pants that he was wearing during his impersonation of police officer. Maybe he had bought the hat but was on his way to his room at the rental home to change into the beige pants and jacket. The hat may have been a quick purchase to give him some disguise until he could get to the rental house and his room. JMO.

According to the note he left his roommates, he doesn’t think he is going to be alive.

Wonder if he’s going to self delete?
Suicide or shoot out with LE? I think the latter.

He got his degrees from religious schools (the one where he got his Ed.D closed in 2023).

Me too. I am finding many aspects of his story hard to believe, though (and we have no proof that he actually started as many businesses or lectured in as many places as he said he did - he certainly has an odd resumé).

He puts a lot of companies/places on his Praetorian bio, but does not make it clear whether he was a security agent for those companies (it seems that would be the correct assumption, it seems implicit).

It's also kind of grifty, though, especially as well known international lecturers don't usually end up working security detail in a small security company with no referenced clientele and, well, it's not that hard to follow up on who is coworkers are. I feel so badly for his family.
From the information I'm getting, he reminds me of that "community activist" in the Karmelo Anthony case, the one with a long criminal record and no known employment record.

I hope this lunatic is taken alive, with no further casualties.

I'd be shocked if it isn't one or the other. I don't forsee them successfully apprehending him alive

The text to his friend of over forty years, doesn’t sound delusional at all. It sounds fatalistic, he knows he’s going to die. Suicide by cop or by his own hand, MOO.

It's curious that he went back to the rental house. He must have had to get something he forgot. He would have known LE would find that house fairly quickly so it was quite a risk.

Also from the article:
Authorities say the image of him wearing a cowboy hat is from surveillance cameras at the Minneapolis home.

So he wasn't at a business, after all?
IMO.

Agree, he doesn’t sound like the type to want to face a courtroom or prison.

Plus it mentions that he smashed out a window at the house.
Forgot his keys in the fake police car?
IMO.

Yes, all of it is a strange grab bag of jobs/careers
My speculation only- could he be a con man? Seems with five kids and wife he was successful to some degree.

Security officer- but no law enforcement background?
Is the website real, are there actual contracts with businesses or people? I don’t see references, but the website year at the bottom is 2024

Very strange
IMO
Very strange indeed! I wonder if the wife knew about the other apartment? MOO but these disparate careers with not much of a logical progression/going up the ladder, and starting a security firm with his background and no references on its website, seem unusual for a man in his 50s with five children. IMO it feels like a resume of someone in their late 20s, early 30s, trying to figure out if there's a better path than the one they took straight out of university. Was the Praetorian firm a way for him to stockpile what he needed for what he'd planned for today? Aside from the obvious (today's events), I'm not really getting a handle on what he is.

Ok. So he returned to where he was staying and retrieved a vehicle. So that explains his change of appearance and how he was able to make it to Minneapolis. His security company only existed on paper, as he hadn't got it off the ground yet.

I think he was trying to make a living on his own, as he was 57 and his resume shows that he didn't have a lot of stability in employment. At 57, he wouldn't have very many lucrative options in the workforce, given his background. Since his wife also worked at the security company, I think it was legitimate, but probably not successful.

ETA Now we know from MSM reporting that the security company was in the process of being established, it wasn't operational yet.

per non profit disclosure records, Boelter is associated with the nonprofit ‘You give them something to eat’, referring to the biblical feast of the multitudes. This is likely what Boelter was referring to in the class intro video when he said he and his wife were independently working to bring food to the DRC.

Sorry for the silly questions, but what is Red Lion Group? Is that a well-known organization?

Also what is private security? Like personal security for a person, or for a retail business?
