MN - Alex Pretti dead after Minneapolis shooting involving immigration agents, US media report, January 24, 2026

I don’t believe the autopsy has been released. The initial findings of labeling his death a homicide just came out today, a few hours ago. But no autopsy results have been made public.
They said on the news today that it had been released, that it was declared a homicide (no surprise 🙄) and that he was declared dead in the hospital. That seems surprising unless they couldn’t officially pronounce him until he was there?

Correction – they said that the medical examiner released their report. This is separate from the autopsy, but they said the autopsy didn’t reveal anything additional. Let me double check that.

It says an autopsy was performed, but no additional findings were disclosed. I misread that and thought that the autopsy had been released. Doesn’t sound like there’s going to be much more to find. Still a bit perplexed as to why they say that he didn’t die until he was at the hospital. If that’s the case, was there not any attempt to render any aid to this poor man? Sure didn’t look like it.

This might come out when persons on trial for murder try to get reduced sentences by explaining that their training was a factor in their crimes. Moreso, it will come out in a civil wrongful death case. Lawyers for both the (victim) plaintiff and the defendant who fired a gun will both point their fingers at the training. The plaintiff because the US federal government has bigger pockets than the average federal agent, and the defendant because they would want their trainers to pay as big a fraction of the damages as possible.

MOO

I think that in this case, Alex's parents would expect justice.

And the defendants owe a lot of explanations to the citizens of Minneapolis.

Also, we have the story of Jose Huerta Chuma, the Ecuadorian man the CBP agents were following

He had no criminal history, just a misdemeanor that was expunged, was here since 2000, had children born in the US, and was working as a rideshare driver.

So the two agents, Ochoa and Gutierrez, seem to have been simply profiling Huerta Chuma.

Besides, the agent who disarmed Alex one second before the shooting, has a lot of things to explain. The way he walks with the gun, he either has memory issues or he is too aware of what's going to happen.

I think in Minnesota, as in most places, only certain people can declare a person dead. Maybe they had to wait until Alex was DOA at the hospital for a doctor or someone else with the authority to declare him dead.

Georgetown Law Professor Vladeck senses that Minnesota would prefer to bring charges...
...if DOJ Civil Rights probe drags or looks Blanche-level bogus.

P.S. Am I the only one imagining Angelica Ochoa, after getting off the phone with ProPublica, did something either intentional or not that roundabout led to Blanche's announcement of the DOJ Civil Rights investigation?

One warning. I thought that six photos of different individuals made no sense.

The older fat man occasionally met on SM is NOT Raymundo Guttierez. It is Raymundo Gutierrez-Castaneda, a deported sex criminal. Bad as is, but a different person.

Most likely, Raymundo, the “cute young man” is the one of the two shooters. There are several photos of him here.

He should answer for what he did to Pretti, but he is NOT a convicted sex offender. Different person.

Make a note: a pepper-spray happy and a trigger-happy CBP agent, but he is not a deported criminal and not an offender.

People have to be responsible for only own deeds. In the meantime, I read about Texan border patrol history and the tejanos and their racism towards their own surprises me no more.

I just hope that no one harms these man. This it is not what Minnesota needs.

A respectable civil rights group showed a picture of that guy as the ICE agent....... 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️ (facepalm emoji)

Both of those names are quite common....I've seen pics of supposedly Ochoa and he looks alot like the guy from Reno 911:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Fake mustache and all.

BTW: Border Patrol in Texas are mostly Latino. If BP, ICE etc downsized, those border communities would be without jobs.

These ICE raids on "blue and purple" states were NEVER about getting the dangerous "worst of the worse" criminals. MO

It's was ALL about NATIONALIZING the vote in "blue and purple states". Gerrymandering and snatching voter rolls in 15 states so the GOP can run the elections in them.

He said it, should we not believe him that he's going to attempt to do it? AND with the National Intellence's's help. Gabbard was present in Georgia and Trump even called FBI agents and personally thanked them for their great job in seizing voter rolls.

I'd venture to guess Minnesota, Illinois, California, Oregon, Arizona, Ohio, Georgia, Maine are 8 of the 15 since all have been under ICE seizes.

ARE THE SUPREMES WATCHING NOW!!??

Lesson: Don't get news from SM or comment sections. Spread the word.

bbm:

Jingle dress dancers gathered on Sunday to hold healing ceremonies at the locations where Renee Macklin Good and Alex Pretti were shot and killed by federal immigration agents while observing their operations.

Hundreds of people attended the ceremony in south Minneapolis, many in ribbon skirts and regalia.

Star Downwind was a lead organizer of the ceremony.

“The dress came to our people when there was a time of sickness. And so that's what we do. We show up when there's people suffering,” Downwind said.

FYI: The Twin Cities refers to Minneapolis and St. Paul which border each other.
BBM:

As federal immigration enforcement crackdowns have fanned outwards from the Twin Cities, with ICE agents showing up in towns like Pelican Rapids and Detroit Lakes, the clients Makaraan works with have been increasingly worried about leaving their homes. ...

“We have been receiving consistent calls from the community. I'm talking about immigrants, refugees and the community in the area, and they are worried about going to work,” said Makaraan. “What’s going to happen to our kids, our children, when they go to school?” ...

Meanwhile, Makaraan said there are several local organizations that are pitching in to help immigrants in their communities who may feel afraid to leave their homes for fear of being targeted by ICE, which is something playing out all over all over Minnesota. ...

“There’s a lot of hesitation for people to go out, especially in our Black and brown communities, new immigrants, things of that nature, which is very unfortunate and a tragedy,” said Garrett Maurer.

From the link:

Roshel will be able to deliver the 20 battlefield-style machines within 30 days, according to ICE...

Thousands of the same armored vehicles have been deployed to Ukraine, for use in its ongoing war against Russian aggression.
Weapons of war. On peaceful protesters, American citizens.

Ochoa is probably the “real” one. He looks like the construction man in the “Village People”. And the photo walking around is the same.

Guttierrez who is 35 usually was presented as a mugshot of an old guy on the heavy side. Periodically I see a young cutie from the Halloween party and marvel at the transformation.

IRL, he looks like the young cutie + 12 years later and the pig-headed mug shot belongs to the deported criminal who he is not.

I suspect that DHS does not care what happens to their agents and people are angry. I believe that the citizens of Minnesota deserve a fair legal trial. I don’t want anyone to be hurt, especially by some vigilantes.

The names are very common. So no one should doxx them.
