"According to statement of probable cause: Barway Collins' feet bound together with duct tape when body found."

NO! I did not want to hear this. I so hoped that the death was unintended after a beating (not that I want to hear about a beating either!), but to hear about the duct tape is absolutely heartbreaking.

Pierre Collins paid the life insurance policy 2 days prior to the murder, AND tried to buy even more !!

Pierre Collins went to the murder site once prior in the day before he took Barway there.

The police know Pierre took Barway in his car to the Mississippi.

They say Pierre dumped Barway into that circular drainage area, and for unknown reason, Barway's body drifted just outside of that drainage area that Sat. morning

Yesterday, before Pierre Collins was arrested, he said to police, 'Come get me if you have enough evidence'.

This article says that Pierre Collins is looking forward to a trial !!

Great. I'm looking forward to it to.

I do think this man has nerves of steel and will never admit to anything, ever. He has been through many difficulties in his life and I think he's conditioned himself to be resilient in the face of accusers and resistant to anything other than his own authority (however extremely flawed his own authority is). I see him going to trial stony-faced....and I see him being convicted to the fullest extent of the law.

I think LE will provide prosecutors what they need. Bring on the trial.

The county attorney can only charge 'up to' this 2nd Degree Murder charge. A Grand Jury is expected to be convened and, by law in MN, they can indict for 1st Degree Murder !! WOW - Mr. Freeman, the Hennepin County Attorney, has told us this murder was very much premeditated !

The county attorney can only charge 'up to' this 2nd Degree Murder charge. A Grand Jury is expected to be convened and, by law in MN, they can indict for 1st Degree Murder !! WOW - Mr. Freeman, the Hennepin County Attorney, has told us this murder was very much premeditated !

Aha. That's new information for me to learn - they need to grand jury for the bigger charge. Okay! Bring on the grand jury.

My live feed cut out just as he was saying that PC went down to that area of the river earlier in the day, and the only reason to be in that area is for fishing... What did he say after that? I got back on when the Hennepin Co Sheriff was talking.

I heard him say that PC had the car parked out front of the apartments, which he never does. Do you suppose they have video from the apartments?

This is so heartbreaking! I've only had a chance to pop in here and read a little. I didn't catch this little one from the beginning, but even though we are a different race, his picture reminds me so much of my gonna-be-11 yo-tomorrow little man. I can't comprehend this. I just can't. Justice.

YES, I DO !! Remember, today was the 'Statement of Probable Cause' - enough to get over the threshold to charge Mr. Collins. There was a clip sometimes shown of Barway walking (kinda curiously imo) toward the parking lot ---- I've thought the police had further video, and so if the police knew that, no wonder Chief Revering looks and seems so very heartbroken and sad --- because they would know that Pierre Collins just kept lying and lying and lying, as for 25 days, little Barway's duct-taped covered corpse sat submerged in that round metal storm drainage area at the bank of the Mississippi River in the park !
