Smith said he visited Pierre Collins in jail and said when Pierre saw him, "tears ran down his face." Smith said Pierre continues to say he's innocent and is "excited for his day in court."

Excited seems an odd word to use. I'd expect that a sociopath reveling in the attention might be excited about court but surely an innocently charged grieving father would be somewhat anxious?

Did somebody contact PC via his phone and tell him Barway was home? The 'uncle' maybe?

Or was it a fluke, in that PC thought Barway should be there by now and headed downstairs to cut him off?

Is the parking lot or the street the van was coming from visible from their apartment? Pierre might have seen from the windows. Barway was there 6-7 minutes.

The affidavit says that the victim was standing next to the Jetta and a couple of minutes later he was peering in the windows of the building.
I think it sounds like Barway was waiting. Pierre might have told him to wait outside and they'd go somewhere fun.

Group, there is a private FB_ _ k group you can click 'request to join' - it's called justiceforbarway. Very interesting. Just joined. The police believe Pierre Collins murdered the child all alone. One woman said she recalls searching earlier where the child was eventually found, and she saw duct tape on the ground there and thought it suspicious at the time, but apparently not enough to report. Also, the person who actually first found the little child's murdered body said it was pretty much covered in duct tape - I will be interested to learn exactly how little Barway was wrapped, and wonder about cause of death, want to see and read autopsy report, etc. I can only guess a strangulation 'from behind' as the way the murderer did it. So awful about little Barway having his ankles wrapped in duct tape, for instance, and torso - must have been done to make the murdered child 'like a package', to then be tossed into the cistern/drainage water round metal 'pool'.

The Statement of Probable Cause shows that Barway was outside the apartment building from 4:17-4:25, but his father was in the apartment.

Last paragraph, page 2: "While the Jetta was in that parking space, defendant's phone records show he was in the apartment."

Top of page 3: "At 4:25 pm, the defendant's cell phone shows he had left the apartment was (sic) near the Jetta."

I'm not convinced the step-mother is totally innocent. Where was she when Barway came home from school? Did she not know PC left about that time?
