Found Deceased MN - Christopher Quirk, 52, Virginia, 8 May 2018

Christopher Quirk was last seen in Virginia on May 8.. Authorities are asking people in the Virginia/Chisholm areas to check their properties for someone who might be seeking shelter. Quirk has family in Chisholm and the Twin Cities metro area.

He is described as 5’11”, 180 pounds with blue eyes and gray/brown hair. He has a tattoo of a heart on his upper right arm and walks with a limp. Christopher does not have a vehicle.

Chisholm is about 3 hours or so north of the cities. That would be a long walk if he doesn't drive. I guess he could have gotten on a bus, but I am sure that they have checked that already. Or, I would hope that they did.

The obituary is for a person who died in March, 2 months before our Christopher went missing, so i agree, not the right person.

I wonder why they think he might have sought shelter on private property. Surely there is a lot of public land around that area. Did he take gear with him?

UPDATE – 5/15/19: Family members are renewing search efforts for a missing man by asking for the public’s help.

We reported in June 2018 that police were concerned for 50-year-old Christopher Quirk’s welfare. They said he was last contacted on May 8th, 2018 in the Virginia/Chisholm area.

Police say Quirk is 5′ 11″ tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes and gray/brown hair, and has a tattoo of a heart on his upper right arm.

He also walks with a limp and does not own a vehicle.

Authorities say a person was walking in the woods north of Virginia when they found the body, which was decomposed and frozen.

The Sheriff’s Office says the cause of death appears to be self-inflicted, and foul play isn’t suspected at this time.
