Found Deceased NC - Heather Marie Williams, 25, limited speech and use of arm & leg, got into a car with an unknown person, Fayetteville, 4 Jan 2025 *Arrest*

Busy guy who should have been off the streets a while ago!
His DOC and court record paints a stark picture, does it not? Why he was given so many chances I'll never understand. He was a violent felon. The last kidnapping offense in 2017 should have netted him far longer than 7 years? By that time he had a record a mile long was and was clearly a violent repeat offender. The public at large was never safe while he was on the streets!! I bet if we could view his Juvenile Record, he began offending as a young teen.

While her family searched for her, Heather's sister contacted someone listed on Heather’s phone log from the time she left the house for the last time.

In a text she asked him what car he drove and if he had picked her up that night.

"He said he met her on Facebook, either through Facebook Dating or Messenger, he couldn’t remember which. He said he hung out with her one night, but he wasn’t sure if it was Saturday night," Mary said.

Mary followed up with the person she called, and he confirmed in writing, "Yes, the car that picked her up was that car."

She believes this person is the same individual who has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

This guy was also charged in June 2022 of kidnapping two people and attempting to kill one of them? Why the heck wasn't he in prison?

This article says it’s dated in 2016?

Here is his current court record for Heather's murder and the past arrests for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weaon, and attempted first degree murder. As others have already noted, he has an extensive criminal history. In the current case you may note a "Conditions of Release". I've attached a copy of the court record. He is being HELD with no bond, so althought it's a release form, he is NOT being released. As you've said, he ws found GUILTY of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and first degree kidnapping, and less than 10 years later is free to take a young woman's life.

I wonder if he has charges in other counties besides Cumberland. Not all counties in NC are live in the e-courts portal yet, only 49, to date.

Regardless, what a rap sheet to be a free man. Unbelievable. A crime that never would have happened if the perp was in prison where he belongs! jmo

I am happy to see an arrest. I suspect that digital evidence is what led them to Heather's body. Whether it was from the vehicle or subpoenaed phone records. I do not think the perp led them to the body or he would have been arrested the day they found her.

This man is a lifelong, experienced predator. My heart hurts for Heather's family. I can't imagine how frightened she was in her last moments. Have we heard anything about HOW she was murdered yet? It seems clear, at least to me, there was a sexual component to this crime.

The victim’s sister said she followed up with the person she contacted and that the person on the other end wrote back to say that he had, in fact, picked her up on the night in question in his car.

“It just makes me angry,” Mary Williams told WRAL. “You’d like to think people wouldn’t do something like this.”

“Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of justice, the above case will be assigned to the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys due to a potential conflict of interest. The Cumberland County District Attorneys office and the State of North Carolina are committed to getting justice for Heather Williams. We would like to thank the Fayetteville Police Department for their diligent work that led to an arrest in this case.”

If Siermons is convicted, he faces life in prison or the death penalty.

Siermons was denied bond in Friday's court appearance and is expected back in court next month.

During Siermons' brief appearance in a courtroom at the Cumberland County jail, special prosecutor Jordan Ford, with the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys, stated that "several items," including surveillance footage and license plate readers, led to Siermons' arrest.

Ford is handling the prosecution due to a conflict of interest, Cumberland County District Attorney Billy West said in a statement after Friday's hearing.
