That was very sad! Reading in the article was most telling:
“She’s cried on my shoulder before because of what he did to her,” Cory said. “She would say I’m scared and that’s why she’d come home or I’d pick her up at his house.”

For now, ground search efforts have been called off, Edmonds said.

"We're pretty confident that the areas searched were searched well," he said.

He said the investigation will remain active as long as there are leads to follow.

I had a thought last night (its a wonder right?) and stayed up till 4am checking craigslist for anything that might have been of interest the days previous and after her disappearance. Not even a mention of her on a discussion board. Nothing in the personals. Nothing in the wanted boards. But I tried. And I'll keep trying.

The Jelineks' view of Schnagl, they said, is shaped by past allegations of violent altercations with Danielle and his history as a convicted drug dealer.

The night before Jelinek disappeared, she told her sister she was meeting a girlfriend, but then met Schnagl. "We didn't think she was still talking to him," Cory Jelinek said.

Cory Jelinek rankles at the description of him as "boyfriend." "I don't think she would ever call him her boyfriend. They were on-and-off friends," Cory Jelinek said. "She had a boyfriend when this happened.

"She cared about him as a friend -- she cared about everybody. But I know she didn't love him."

Schnagl, however, was very much in love with her sister, she said. "I have to believe that, in a sick way, he cared for her -- how is this not eating him up?"

Imo he knows where she is and will never tell. Why would he with only drug charges looming over his head. So many cases that are similar to this and it's so frustrating. I just can't imagine what so many families go through.

I was SOOO thinking this very same thing...

So many hearts broken... So much physical pain.... So many caring people searching...

And these :censored: 's are getting housing and three square meals on the money from the very people they are emotionally torturing by not giving the information so desperately needed and wanted!

Agree! Gotta hope he slipped up somewhere and that LE will find her and get him!
