Guilty both counts.

Guilty on both counts

GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS

Hope to hear why. Didn't expect guilty of both. The lesser one at most.

Usual jury trial... a crap shoot.

I never bought her crying on the stand and her demeanor after the verdict was read playing with her fingernails to me shows she knew the verdict was correct.

Defense attorney trying to convince the judge not to revoke bail.

Wasn’t expecting this.

Although I disagree with the charges and decision maybe Daunte Wright's family will feel some bit of justice has been served even though he will not physically be with them for the holidays.

Judge will revoke mail.

What is the dispositional departure?

She obviously did something wrong, but going by the law, she had to have conscious intent here, she had to "commit a conscious or intentional act in connection with the handling or use of a firearm that creates a substantial and unjustifiable risk that she is aware of" for the first charge, and that she "consciously took a chance of causing death or great bodily harm" for the second. But that's not what happened here.

Involuntary manslaughter involves knowing doing something risky, she didn't do that.

But the jury did not agree with me.

I looked at this like if somebody has a mind slip and causes death in a traffic accident or something of that sort, not intentional killing. I hope they don’t throw the book.

There go the cuffs and out the door.

Was she offered a plea deal?

In that case she could have pled guilty to just one charge with cap on sentence.

Really interesting with the timing, 2nd degree decided late morning Tuesday ….then the question about their possible deadlock.

Then their decision on the first count was agreed upon this morning

Then again----By shooting a gun or a taser into a vehicle that was running, and the driver in the driver's seat ,was risky and against policy. She knew she would incapacitate the person controlling the vehicle that was clearly attempting to take off. That's thousands of pounds of metal on the loose with no one controlling it. That's why officers aren't suppose to do it. She made the deliberate and conscious decision to do that. JMO

I assume there are some special arrangements for housing prisoners who are from LE. Did they say when her sentencing is? I read somewhere that the max sentence for man1 is 20 years, and for man2 it is 15 years.
