REMER MN – MISSING PERSON INVESTIGATION

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that the Cass County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a missing person’s case. David Rickbeil, age 60, of Ham Lake Minnesota has been reported missing. Rickbeil’s vehicle was located abandoned in Cass County on the Lake Washburn Rd (County Road 48) in rural Remer MN. The Sheriff’s Office requests assistance from the public with any information related to the whereabouts of Rickbeil. Remains of man missing for 3 years found in northern MN

The Cass County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that on June 7 of this year, a survey crew located human remains in a "swampy and heavily wooded area" of Blind Lake Township.

The remains were positively identified as belonging to Rickbeil, noting there is no indication of foul play and it's likely he walked away from his vehicle.
