Missing: Edina man last seen May 6

According to police, 59-year-old Douglas Paul Schroeder was last seen by family members on May 6.

Efforts to reach Mr. Schroeder by family members and Edina Police have been unsuccessful. He is described as 6’1" and weighs 195 lbs.

Police in Edina have issued a public appeal to find a local man missing since Thursday.

Douglas Paul Schroeder, 59, was last seen by his family, but efforts to reach him since Thursday by both his family and police have been unsuccessful.

A picture of Schroeder has been released. He is described as 6'1" tall and weighing 195 lbs.

Anyone with information should call Edina PD at 952-826-1600.

My first hunch is if a 59yo man from Edina has gone missing, the case likely involves finances.

I have zero knowledge of the area at all. So I’m not sure if it’s normal for local LE or media to not share a little more details around the circumstances of a disappearance or even updates.
Wish we had a little more to work with.

Edina is big bucks. We call people who live there “cake eaters” (as in let them eat cake...). I’m not saying crime doesn’t happen there, or that this couldn’t be foul play, but I am leaning more toward voluntarily missing for now. I wish we had more information. Moo

He's a well known realtor. My in-laws live there.
Wonder if he was scheduled to show a property?? Maybe he met up with someone shady posing as a client??

Edina is a wealthy suburb of the Twin Cities. Most likely, his disappearance, whether voluntary or not, has something to do with money.

I don't see anything other than the initial reports.

I found his pics on close family's SM, but he doesn't seem to have an account. The family is not posting any missing appeals. According to an obituary his father died last year.

ETA: Correction - there's one appeal by a distant relative.
