I really think someone is keeping him at this point. Even the most resourceful 13 year old can't take care of himself for this long with no resources. He's got to be in a friend's basement or camper at this point. I just hope it's not a creep. And he's there willingly at this point.

Police: No new leads on missing boy

As the search for a missing International Falls boy enters its second week, local law officers continue to follow up on leads and tips, and search by air and land for him.

Gary Tilander, 13, was last seen Feb. 22 leaving a youth and family service center in Bemidji.

Falls Police Investigator Capt. Tom Lynch said Tuesday the only credible siting of the boy was reported in the Tenstrike and Blackduck area immediately after he left the center.

He said that’s where the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Bemidji police and Beltrami County sheriff’s deputies are focusing the search.

Lynch has searched by air with local pilot Thor Einarson. “We’ve flown here to Bemidji and back more than once,” he said.

Koochiching County deputies Monday searched the southern part of the county using all-terrain vehicles, noted Lynch.

City police have searched numerous residences numerous times, he added.

This is a couple hours west of Bemidji. Gary was reported to have been heading East. I won't rule anything out but my gut tells me it's not him. Will keep my eye on this story.

Bemidji, MN Gary Allen Tilander was found alive after being missing for over a month.

Police found Tilander after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen saying that the teen was at a residence Lidgerwood, ND.

I got the message from Bemidji LE earlier today and just about screamed I'm happiness. My students now know I'm crazy. Lol I am so happy for his sister and Mom.
