If we think Jacob was taken from the farm in the trunk of DR's car, I think it is imperative that they use cadaver dogs to search the landfill that the schools garbage goes to.

Not sure after this amount of time that there would be a decomp scent for the cadaver dog to detect. Sadly, after 24 years a body would be little more than bones. I guess it could be worth a try. LE is not going to fund it or call in a handler.

Hope he got there early with all the other teachers and kids entering the school grounds.

He unloaded boxes from his trunk and brought them into the school. Regardless if there was people or not noone searched the boxes he carried in. The investigators looked in the trunk, it was empty, it sadly didnt go further.

DR poked at LE for not searching the band room but did he tell them that very morning he had unloaded a trunk full of instruments? Did the boxes in the trunk reveal not come until Esme Murphy went undercover and questioned him about it years later?

I've actually heard more than a couple of times that cadaver dogs are really not able to do much in landfills anyway, even if it's early on in a case, because there are so many foul odors in a landfill.

Musical instrument cases. So, what instrument case could hold a body? Musical instrument cases are lined with felt/velvet. Any bodily fluids would permanently stain the fabric.

Well we would need the dogs & Ground Penetrating Radar-

Deep Ground Penetrating Radar Surveys

Deep ground penetrating radar surveys are conducted with a low frequency GPR antenna, by hand-towing, ATV-towing, or truck-towing the antenna.

Applications include:
landfill and burial trench delineation
geology (bedrock and soils) studies
karst and sinkhole (geologic hazards) investigation

Ground penetrating radar locates almost anything underground
Ground penetrating radar makes an underground "picture"

This sounds ultra expensive. After 25 yrs there would be no evidence left as to the cause of death, and if a body were to be found, how would this prove who did it?

Why? Because we were talking about him for months and months before Joy brought this startling news forward. I imagine she got it right off of WS.

The only stir it caused was with the people susecptible to her antics.

LE examined these cases thoroughly. ELOC has explained that on here several times.

And it has been discussed that Patty undoubtedly knew about it as she went to Paynesville schools and had school assemblies where she asked students to come forward.

Publicity is always good. But Joy's disingenuity helps no one.

When asked about the Paynesville cases Patty Wetterling said ' we did not know about these cases until Joy Baker put it on her blog and it was like Wow'
I feel Joy's blog is very helpful in laying out the case from the mouths of the few people who were directly involved. You obviously have your own opinion and you sure are sticking to it.

Did Dan's district have school that day? I know Jacob's school had a teacher workshop day.

Both Patty Wetterling and Jared have indicated that the information about the Paynesville cases was 'new' to them. Jared called it, the biggest lead in 25 years.

Yeah, that's been noted that DR (his school) had a regular school day that day.

Correct. The operative words in your statement are that this was new information to Jared and Patty. It was not new information to LE overall, although current investigators may have not been familiar. I highly doubt that LE shared much information about the case with the Wetterlings.

Just because Patty made several trips to Paynesville doesn't mean she was aware there may be some other victims there. Maybe she visited all the schools in the area as often, but if she did I haven't read about it.

Does someone here know DR, if so could you ask him these questions for me?

1. When did you first tell someone about the cars that turned around in your building site?

2. Why do you think you are still a POI?

3. What kind of information were they able to find in your journal and photos?

4. Is there information from you that can't be shared yet, as it would tip off the abductor?

5. Do you think you saw Jacob that night?

I'm not sure if anyone on here has had to the guts to do so, but Dan's email address is publicly listed on the district website.

Maybe I'm misreading, but, it looks like you're trying to correct me, where I don't see whereas I need to be corrected. My statement specifically says Patty W and Jared, and nothing about LE in general.

Also, I've never said anything about Patty W's trips to Paynesville, or how that would indicate that she knew about the Paynesville attacks; because, I have known for a while that she considered them New information; however, others have made such statements.

I'm not correcting you, as your statement was correct.

I'm only clarifying that it was only new to Jared and Patty. Some people seem to think that if they didn't know, then it must be a new lead. Several newspaper articles from 1990 stated that LE investigated Hart with connection to Jacob's case. Also, I have spoken with people who lived on Lake Koronis who said that the FBI was casing out Harts foster parents home from the lake.

I personally presume, pretty strongly, that all known and/or suspected offenders (pedophiles, etc...) within a reasonable radius of the area have been looked at quite closely. They certainly should have been, and again, I suspect that they have.

Some I expect have been basically 'cleared' due to circumstances, such as, they were 'known' to be out of the area at the time; or some kind of relatively 'air tight' alibi. Having said that, I don't assume that some are not still being looked at; but, I don't know.

I do know that more than a few cold cases have been solved after some period of time when it was discovered that someone looked at, and 'cleared' early on in the case, was found to have had a bogus alibi that was accepted at the time.
