I guess I was not very clear in what I was saying.

As DNA use was brand new, the LE of that community where Jared was probably had little, if any knowledge about preserving DNA and the importance of proper procedures. The town where it happend has such few residents . I doubt it they had much in the line of any facilities for crime scene analysis.

Population in 2013 about 4000. Don't know what it was in 89

Cold Spring wouldn't handle forensics of the investigation. It would be handed over to the county or the BCA for any type of forensics.

Has anyone ever asked for the financial records of The Jacob Wetterling Foundation? As a non profit, they have to supply those records. However, now the "foundation" has been changed to a "resource center", and I don't know if a resource center has to supply those records. The foundation has pulled in tons of money, and I think the public should see the records. When you enter the JWF into the Google search engine, it pops up under this:http://www.gundersenhealth.org/ncptc/jacob-wetterling-resource-center

Looked it up on Guidestar (990 files about non profits) and nothing came up. Searched under 'jacob' 'wetterling' and 'gundersen' with no results http://www.guidestar.org/

lol nevermind. did a google search for "jacob wetterling foundation" 990 and this came up http://www.guidestar.org/ViewPdf.aspx?PdfSource=0&ein=41-6319413

Vernon Seitz had a-

•A map of Millstream Park (Location near Jacob's abduction)

This is interesting because this park has a public and completely free little campground. Is this where Vernon was posted up at the night Jacob went missing, is this where he was staying for 2 weeks after the abduction? I have enjoyed playing disc golf at this park over the years and I can say every time I walk past the campground it looks more like drifters are staying there than your typical family.

I was surprised how quickly Seitz was ruled out in Jacob's case. Kind of made me feel like they weren't considering him at all because they already have a strong idea about who took Jacob.

Books are here, all orders received so far are shipping in the next two days!

Many thanks, ELOC!! Looking forward to receiving my copy, which will at some point be circulated in criminology classes at a large local university. Once again, congratulations on this wonderful accomplishment!!

For the record, ELOC, will you be having additional copies printed should we wish to order more?

It just wouldn't be that interesting if he was straightforward. He is of the race of ubermensch that zarathustra spake.

I was trying to remember how many different suspects have been identifed as " the one"?

I wonder what Ron M leaked to the press that Patty was upset about?

This is in Eloc's book

I'm beating a dead horse here, I know -- and yes, I know we have gone over this again and again -- but doggone it (no pun intended), why didn't any dogs pick up Jacob's scent? Did I understand correctly that his scent stopped at the driveway or that was just his footprint. Where were the footprints if had to walk down the road with this freak. Did he just keep on walking down that road and then somehow get dragged onto DR's property? Did another car pull up on the highway (as planned?) and off they all went? Did this villian stuff Jacob in a large knapsack and carry him? How come there wasn't more forensic evidence? There wasn't any snow on the ground and I don't think it was raining. If the perp was DR, then he had it planned out where he would put Jacob. With no one around, he could easily have gagged and tied him up, then put him somewhere without anyone hearing or seeing him. I mean if the place was deserted, perp had nothing to fear. No dogs come running up to the front door or to the barns or sheds or woods or anything. Not being critical here -- after all, we searched for a young man who committed suicide and he was very close to the park entrance. Dogs did not find him. Maybe it was because they were not cadaver dogs I guess.

It's really frustrating, Human. Do you think LE has the perps listed in a certain order of most likely to least likely? Obviously they would have DR at the top since he's been named the official POI for a while now. Who is second, in your opinion (if it's a name from ELOC's book, that is.)

I am referring to a poster on here that keeps putting up pictures of suspects.

There have been several.

I think it is probable that cadaver dogs were not there
