Found Deceased MN - Jesse Dady, 21, St. Cloud, 25 March 2017

I would be interested in seeing the rate of these deaths compared to the rise in binge drinking. Might being a little drunk or regular drunk not affect your decision-making the way back out drunk does? Binge drinking leads to more deaths but I've so far only seen it rated by age, gender, and location.

If that has anything to do with it my guess would be if we're not also seeing an increase in accidental deaths among young women (though I think we are) it might be they are more likely to stay in pairs or groups.

I'd be interested in seeing a correlation with the rise of mobile phone usage. Given the number of sober people I've seen stepping out in front of cars, walking into things/other people, driving etc whilst glued to their phones, let alone what I see on nights out, it's easy to imagine what would happen if you combined that level of fixation/inattention with being drunk.

Good point. Even if it's a bridge you've crossed before you still need to pay attention.

Here's an example of how extreme inattention can get:

While I'm sad that he met this fate, i appreciate the quick response and search efforts. Who knows where he may have ended up or if he would have been found at all if more time had passed.
