Minneapolis police seek public's help finding missing woman

i hope every business owner in the area has already been questioned and that they're all checking their cameras for signs of her.

Any moving in/out by other tenants? Many scenarios possible: perp could be tenant/nutcase who planned her demise during moveout (carrying her out in a rug/large furniture), stopped by to say goodby and disabled her.

Could have been any tenant who talked their way in, did the deed then kept her in their apt. for many hours before removing her when 'the coast was clear.' Similarly a building employee with the right keys.

not sure if anyone moved out around the time she went missing, but someone could easily conceal a small-framed woman like jess. people who are moving also tend to prop key-access doors open, allowing anyone to enter freely. so a neighbor moving in or out could have left the building vulnerable without even thinking about it.

it would be great to have camera footage showing if she even left the building or not... or if any large items left the building over the next few days. what if she's still in the building somewhere? if she's not in the building, why would she leave without her keys to get back in, unless she left with a neighbor who had keys or she was taken against her will?

And thank you for going through the effort to become verified. Jessica’s disappearance is very worrisome and something just seems odd about the lack of attention it’s getting. I hope LE are actively working on it.

hope you get verified soon, silsby... i've been scouring the net for more info and possible updates, but am coming up empty.

i found a few of her family members' facebook pages, but they haven't posted anything about her (at least not publicly).

someone on twitter mentioned organizing a search this week, but no updates there yet, either.

the last article posted about her was 18+ hours ago. most are 3-4 days old now.

it feels like it took way too long for them to report that she was missing in the first place, and now she's already falling out of the news cycle. i'm so frustrated and stressed about this.

does anyone know who the public "point person" is for this case? (who we should be looking to for updates and direction?)

My sweet friend…Jessica is so kind and thoughtful and such an amazing and outspoken advocate for others. Now it’s our turn to advocate for her. @jessfriend and @Schlep16 do you believe it has anything to do with relationships in Kansas or Florida? Maybe she was abducted and taken there by an ex? Does anyone know if she had a recent relationship or difficult breakup etc?

I would think KC would be more likely than FL just based on her connections there. If I had to make a guess, I do not think an ex is involved. However, we were closer awhile ago compared to recently so I guess something could’ve popped up. I’m just trying to think of the logical reasons she would’ve left everything behind and I can’t think of a positive/safe set of circumstances.

I wonder if they've thoroughly checked her apartment building, including all stairwells, waste disposal areas, maintenance rooms and parking.

Our complex has a boiler room. Only a few people have access to it.

Hopefully, LE has talked to the apartment building manager and maintenance people.

But in order to make it 'complete,' would have to include every apartment - means (AFAIK) a warrant to search every one - can't see that happening -- but IANAL (or LE)!

I believe the apartment owners can give permission for LE to search without a warrant.
