All of that and the Tommies won!
Actually, Abbott John and folks from HMML presented a new Bible they had just finished to the Library of Congress, and the Holy Father was present. See the St John's Abbey website.

I drove through St. John's yesterday afternoon and pulled into the Maur house parking lot. The lot was packed and there was a game of volleyball going on very nearby so I didn't get out and take pictures like I had hoped.

A few things I noted: the lot is somewhat private, lots of trees on all sides and only one way in and out. It is two-tiered with plenty of bushes and landscaping. I guess I was expecting a large open parking lot for some reason. I'm going to assume there is a back entrance to the dorm as that's where the volleyball courts are located.

If someone abducted Josh as he cut across the parking lot on the way back to his dorm, it's possible nobody would have witnessed it unless they were also in the parking lot.

" Drowning in
Coincidence

Midwest Missing Student Mystery

Missing college students are turning up dead.

Either a serial killer is on the loose in the
Upper Midwest, leaving victims in area rivers --
or the Heartland is drowning in coincidence."

And today they found the missing Otsego MN man (Joe Brunn) in the Mississippi....what is the deal with going into the river when you're drunk? I just don't get it.

So recently in the news and locally, a body was recovered from a quarry that had previously been drained a month earlier by LE. This is just a square quarry with no outlets and LE failed to find the body the first time. A few hikers noted the body floating in the quarry and called LE. Well they've only drained Stumpf Lake to low levels once, and what does this story maybe say about this? They need to look again, and I'm sorry for the struggle in doing so, but they do. We're not looking for a floating body anymore, we're looking for bones sunk into the mud of Stumpf Lake. Now I'm still not saying this is Josh's fate, but I'm saying there is still a chance he had an accident. When I think about the kidnapping aspect, it's funny to me that no one heard a struggle, saw something, or Josh who was not inebriated as they say, was never able to escape him. There is zero evidence of what happened, so you always go back to the beginning and correlate to stories like the one recently in the news here.

The realities of Stump Lake

1. It's not shallow near the shorelines. Can immediately become 10 feet deep.
2. It's connected to two other lakes. Creates a constant current.
3. Heavily Vegitated
4. A turtle, muskrat, beaver sanctuary

This is an excellent point! I sure hope the Guimond family has had the same revelation and can somehow find a way to get this done.

OT...and how did they NOT find Phillip Miller's body!? I wonder if he anchored himself down in some way and finally broke loose?

I headed out to St. Johns tonight and put two feet on the ground. I walked across the bridge and also went down a steep slope with my smartphone flashlight to reach the shoreline of Stump Lake. Going down the slope alone like that in the dark was disturbing to me, I wondered why am I doing this alone and I might fall as well. When I get down to the shoreline I notice the ground becomes very soft and boggy, my feet are sinking every step in it, I'm again scared that I'm gonna drop through into a hole (quicksand like). I climb back up the slope and get the heck outta there, it's no place to be in the dark and alone. I will also say down by the shoreline and on the slope are beer cans and beer bottles loitered everywhere. Josh attended a drinking party that night. I will say one beer or one shot of alcohol would be very stupid to do and then attempt to walk down this slope to stump lake. Did Josh have to go to the bathroom and tried entering the woods only to fall down the slope into the river? Did he go down to the river and the ground caved in? It's very possible. Now away from having an accident, I'm also very disturbed by the fact it could be a kidnapping. The area and parking lot are very neutral and away from buildings. Someone could have been waiting for a passer by.

In this picture I put red dots where I think Josh could have went off from his path home to most likely go to the bathroom. If he did this it's very possible according to the slope I had just experienced myself that he could have fallen into the river.

Thinking of Josh today.

Thanks for the reminder that 13 years ago today, Josh went missing.
If not in the water, where could Josh be, how could he simply disappear into thin air ???

Re posting this article from 2003, maybe there is a connection between these missing people, thinking of Jesse Mathews stalking the students in Virginia. imo.

"Joshua Guimond, 20, vanished Nov. 9 on the tranquil campus of St. John's University in St. Cloud, Minn., 75 miles northwest of Minneapolis. The blonde young man, 6 feet tall and 176 pounds, had taken a break from a late-night card game in a student apartment. He stepped out into the hall and hasn't been seen or heard from since. What makes the case that much more mysterious is that in the 10 days before Joshua went missing, three other young people in Minnesota and Wisconsin disappeared without a trace. Each of the others, a 21-year-old woman and two men, ages 21 and 22, had been drinking in bars with friends and police have speculated that one or more of them may have fallen into icy waters and drowned. But dive teams have turned up no bodies. Joshua's friends told authorities that he wasn't intoxicated and was walking, talking and behaving normally at the time he stepped out of the apartment, wearing only a lightweight gray sweatshirt and jeans. His coat and other belongings were back in his own living quarters, about four blocks away. Bob Guimond said his family, and the family of one of the other missing young men, have paid for a tracking dog to try to pick up their scent. The dog's tracking ability indicated that Joshua was walking normally down the hall and into the outdoors, but some distance away fell down three times. Guimond believes it's possible that his grandson and the others encountered trouble and were drugged"

Very interesting profile at this link:

http://www.immelman.us/news/missing-person-joshua-guimond/

much more at link

also bringing forth this enlarged map of the campus and the sites of interest from that same link:

http://www.csbsju.edu/Documents/About/MapSJ2010.pdf

"Sidebar: Profile of Joshua Guimond’s Abductor

The offender responsible for Joshua Guimond’s disappearance, if foul play is involved, would have the following personal characteristics: above average intelligence; socially competent, with good interpersonal skills; employed in a skilled occupation; high birth-order status (e.g., first-born son); a poor relationship with his father, who humiliated him in childhood; a childhood history of inconsistent discipline; a reliable means of transportation, most likely a late-model car in good condition; and a precipitating situational stress prior to the victim’s disappearance.

The offender would be considerably older than traditional-age college students. He would be very familiar with the college campus from which the victim disappeared; it would be part of his territory, his comfort zone. He likely would be familiar with the schedules of campus buses and security officers and would know whether the campus has surveillance cameras and where they are located".

Bumping this link with potential profile of perp.
Could the perp be a paramour or" sugar daddy" to someone working or studying at the university?

I read the whole file on Bruce W ( a priest on campus at the time of Josh's disappearance).
Bruce W read the profile (see dotr post above #394) on Aubrey I's webpage and went nuts saying Aubrey was connecting him to Josh's disappearance. Aubrey did not put BW's name anywhere. BW wanted to sue Aubrey for slander after the profile was published. BW was also worried about Scott Radel's disappearance and indicates so in an email.

I must say, after reading the whole file on Bruce W, he matches the profile of Josh's abductor EXACTLY.

The offender responsible for Joshua Guimond’s disappearance, if foul play is involved, would have the following personal characteristics: above average intelligence (YES); socially competent (YES), with good interpersonal skills (YES- school counselor); employed in a skilled occupation (head of psychology dept); high birth-order status (e.g., first-born son) (OLDEST OF 5); a poor relationship with his father (YES), who humiliated him in childhood (BW related a humiliating story about receiving willow switches for Christmas as a child); a childhood history of inconsistent discipline (UNK); a reliable means of transportation (CAR), most likely a late-model car in good condition (UNK); and a precipitating situational stress prior to the victim’s disappearance (will look this up).

The offender would be considerably older than traditional-age college students (YES). He would be very familiar with the college campus from which the victim disappeared (YES, lived at Abbey); it would be part of his territory, his comfort zone. He likely would be familiar with the schedules of campus buses and security officers and would know whether the campus has surveillance cameras and where they are located".

situational stress- both BW's parents died in a car accident in June 2001. Josh went missing Nov 2002. I would say this qualifies as a major situational stressor. What if he is the one who did this to Josh? Stearns County searched BW's room the day after his death and DID NOT release the results. We need people to contact Stearns county to ask that the results be released to the public.

St. John's Abby personnel files!

I startre reading this days ago and still am not done. There are plenty of choices among those monks and who knows who is not even identified.

There is so much secrecy because of privileged conversations, Truly, I have had nightmares reading these.

What sick sick sick sick place.

There are many choices, I feel.

In the papers about Finian, I think, he talks about being invited to a Golden Shower party where they would pee on a naked monk. I think he said he declined.

I think there were plenty of things going on there and because some may not be abusing minors, we may never learn about other activities so there may be other monks who could be suspects.

Read about Golden showers. Unreal
